    I would trade Cato+MoT for Gasol+Swift. :)

just dump the ball to Yao, even after he misses shots. His 50% is much better than the 35% tonight.

Not too bad. 3 players in double figures in the first half.

We are a totally different team both defensively and offensively with Yao on court. When he left in the first quarter, we led by nine. When we came back we tied. Now, we are up by six again. A swing of fifteen points.

to me, a trade for a pg or a pg acquisition seems eminent now. Wilks has been around the team all season. There is no reason for Van Gundy to be limiting him. VG doesn't even see a future with wilks. Wonder who the new guy will be?

When Yao was on the court, our perimeter players were wide open because Phili decides to double and tribble team Yao. If they don't, we dump the ball inside and Yao scores easily one-on-one.

Without Yao, we drove and drove one against 3 or even 5 Philis and missed.

When Yao was on the court, Phili could not go inside. Also, we usually have only Yao + 1 inside defending, with the rest outside contesting. Phili has to try contested outside shot every time down the court.

Without Yao, Phili drove and layup, six for nine at the beginning of the second quarter.

    :)

We do need to trade for a PG. Wilks is nowhere close to NBA standard with the minutes he was on the court tonight. :(

    two things I don't understand:
    1) why some players on the team never hesitate to take a shots even they is going 1-10 for the night, but stop feeding Yao after he misses a couple of J.
    2) why does Yao lose the desire to take more shots after missing a couple of shots, even he is shotting 20% better than the rest of the team.
I wish Yao could play a bit selfish like MoT, SF, or Cat.

They are obviously trained and raised in a different way. I wish Yao would be more selfish too. Just like the pass he made to Cat or Francis in the second quarter while he had just one Phili in front of him. The guard missed; and he showed an expression that looked like "I should have shot it myself".

I guess he saw two other Philis were in the middle of coming toward him and if he turned around and took the shot, he might have been contested by three Philis. But what he did not realize was it was still better than passing it outside to the guards when one of Philis turned around and contest the guard five ft away.

It is because if he immediately turned around, the other two Philis wouldn't be able to come toward him immediately because they were in between Yao and the guards. It is much better than he was double and treble team most of the time even before he got the ball.

    :(

How are you going to blame the coach for players hesitating to take shots!?

keep feeding Yao, if he can shoot 50%, then let him shoot all night.
