If Moreys only goal is to out do the Sixers we're in trouble and that also explains a lot.

18th is good enough for me. And its only the beggining of the season under new defensive system/coach. Perhaps we can even do better than that.

Our defense has mightily improved since the Lakers game.

He didnt shoot 41% for the game dude he shot 3/11 from the game and he's been in a massive slump for 2 games now. Apart from the first SaS matchup all his good games come against teams with crap at the PF spot. Its good that he opens stuff for harden but considering Anderson sucks at defense and rebounding he should at least be money on his open 3s every night. If all we wanted at the 4 is a spacer then we would just play Ariza full time at the 4 spot and save 80M for another position of need.

    41% for the season.

If your expectation is for shooters to never have bad shooting nights, then you are probably always going to be disappointed.

The bottom line is that the Rockets played their best basketball when he was on the floor and that is all that matters, hence the +34.

Your criticisms, for a new player, for a team that is playing well, is not warranted.

+/- is not that accurate when its on a game by game basis as its just an estimation on how the opponent scored with you on the floor. There are so many factors that come into it for example if the opponent is crap or thats the time when Harden got into god mode and started making all his shots thats also gonna result in a high +/- for the game. Are you gonna tell me because his +/- is higher he did more to win the game than James Harden?

Thats why you also need to complement stats analysis with the eye test, I saw anderson letting opponent waltz into the paint and fighting for rebs against his teammates the other night on top of shooting like crap, thats not exactly behavior thats a sign of a positive +/- player.

While his 3 pt shooting has been high, thats due to him being streaky and shooting really high in some games but notably Anderson has struggled whenever we faced decent competition except for 1 time against Spurs, and him being crap has coincided with almost all of our losses. I dont expect Anderson to be money all the time but in cases where his shot is off he should provide other things like defense and rebounding
