People are angry because this game represents a real step back. This team looked like the one that Yao called soft after the last Philly game.

Watch the press conferences from Adelman during the five game win streak. He constantly talked about how pleased he was, about how the Rockets were coming out and really expending some effort. What the hell are the last two games? What do you do if your kid gets an A on five math tests in a row and then flunks the next two? I wouldn't say "It's just one test, there's a bunch more".

Let's hope for a link. I wanna hear what these losers (Adelman, Battier, Alston and Head) have to say.

Luther and Bonzi have the same problem: they do stuff that looks nice on the offense, but their defense and turnovers nullify any advantage they give offensively.

Because, we have Hayes who can't make a jumper, can't make a FT, doesn't cut, can't block shots and can't dunk.

Your right,Coaches don't do this but you have to really look at this rafer alston issue clearly and maybe do something a little different.

Because things were so much better with T-mac right? We are hurting in more ways than one. This Rick Adelman experiment/ YAO+ Tmac combo/ Not having a real PG to run the team/ Not having a solid PF who can score AND rebound all of these are a recipe for disaster.

Today when the starting lineups were announced and I saw a back court starting both Alston and Head I knew we were in trouble. And then you have Battier, Hayes and Yao. That has got to be the weakest starting 5 in the league with the exclusion of Minnesota and let me think...... nobody. That's 1 supposed "superstar" that disappears in the 4th quarter when the game matters the most. One glorified role player in Battier and 3 players that should be on the bench.

I agree Adelman probly should have done something when the rockets were sucking but where would he go. The only viable option with be Brooks which would have been great but that still leaves a bad rafear or Luther in the game. It's not like he can go to bonzi who has been bad and Mike James is just not an option for him at this point. stevie is injured and Synder is just as prone to make bad decescions in the 4th

that's exactly what he did in the boston game and ray allen got the rebound and put back and killed any hope of a rox comeback. Now I think about it that's why JVG almost never played head late in the 4th - just too much of a defensive liability!

BIGVIC....would you take rafer over andre miller? consider tonights game and the fact that we probably wont be able to get a roy, nash, or paul level type of guard.

At least Brooks was able to penetrate and score. In fact Adelman has allowed Brooks for the entire fourth quarter for any number of games (NY at home springs to mind) so it's not like there's no precedent.

One more thing about Alston: he's notoriously streaky. Look at the posts in this board where members talked about how he was due for some crappy games. Knowing the nature of the beast I'm fine with that if he's got a viable backup. If he doesn't then he's got to go. And having a viable backup and not using it is just as bad as not having one in the first place.

right..cuz offense was the problem. Chuck needed to be in there in the 4th for some defense. Scola hustled on the offensive end, but was almost non-existent defensively.

Oh and 1 extra point for dunking right..

Three days off to practice and hopefully TMac will be able to play on Saturday but even he does come back, Morey will need to make a trade to bring in a veteran guard.

But he does play great defense, get rebounds on both ends(we desperately need), causes turnovers for the other team(we desperately need), and brings good hustle and energy every game(we desperately need). He makes up for his liabilities.

was just listening to the players on fsn and i heard two or thee of them saying something to the effect of were just doing what we usually do and screwing up and also saying this is the way its been all year blah blah blah!! i know this is after and embarrasing loss but we are hoping for the best for the rest of the year and its sounds like they are content with how its going WTF! im not jumping off the bandwagon but just listening to them talk is discouraging and to rub it in even more you could hear them joking around in the background while the players are being interviewes :(

The turnovers killed us and stagnant offense killed us. The half court defense passable if we didn't turn the ball over and got some better looks on the offensive end....

There's no way Phily gonna give us Andre Miller for any of the garbage we have. We would have to give up a pick and mayb battier
