    Scouting report.

Harden's passing and playmaking have become too predictable, IMO. I can't tell you how many times that I say to myself 'he's going to turn it over now', and then Harden commits a TOV like clockwork. Sometimes he doesn't even seem to think before throwing a pass. It's more like "I've already decided to throw a pass at this moment, so I'm going to do it no matter what".

A true great point guard such as CP3 actually surveys the defense and if there isn't any hole that he can exploit, he doesn't throw a pass. This is the reason why CP3 doesn't commit that many turnovers, while at the same time averages slightly fewer assists than Westbrook and Harden. The latter two are way too careless and risky with their decision-making, which sometimes pays off, but more often than not leads to bad turnovers.

I agree with the scouting reports. Although lately, it seems like his first option more often is to iso and score on his defender rather than making a play. He is back to his dribble dribble dribble ways. He doesn't even ask for a screen anymore. He has been playing like himself 2 yrs ago.

You've got to remember Harden isn't a true Point Guard.

I agree with you, stupid turnovers have crept back into the game for Harden recently.

I don't think you can fairly compare him to CP3 who is by far the best true Point Guard this generation.

The Goat STILL trolling and going off on Harden, and you STILL have yet to answer my question.
You constantly campaign to ditch Harden and do nothing but complain about him.
So, who is your player you would replace him with?

Question for you. Do you think he brought up any legitimate concerns in the post?

You might think he is a Harden hater, but his post is an accurate observation.

3 of our starters (Anderson, Ariza, Tucker) combined to go 2-20 from three. But let's complain about Harden since it's more convenient.

We've been playing iso ball since the season tipped off. I'm not worried we just need Clint back and we won't often have shooting nights this bad. Sucks to lose like this but we live by the sword and die by the sword. Tough stretch but we'll bounce back.

Pick and roll with rim finisher is the most important piece of our offense because it opens everything up. Without a rim finisher off the pick and roll we screwed because defenders don't leave their shooters. Need to get Noel or someone similar who can roll and finish above the rim because Clinty's three backups cannot so the high pick and roll just bogs down.

Not a good game in CP's comeback.

    GSW lost too.

The league has sent a message. Parity is here to stay.

I’ll call it the Durant Rule.

Something needs to be done though.

We are 9-4 against 0.500 and above teams. (Playoff contenders and top teams)

    16-5 against sub 0.500 teams.

If I knew, I'd be genius. Jk.

If we had the exact formula for mental and physical fatigue.

Usually one has to step up. Harden isn't a vocal leader and Chris isn't a consistent scorer any longer (meaning he can't take the scoring load as he did in his Hornets days). He can't fill in for Harden's scoring when he has off games.

Morey is trying to bring in better role players. Our bench is either old or untalented.

We were hoping that Mbah Moute, PJ and Nene could be major contributors, and they were but I guess it is hard to imagine that continues for another 50 games.

Teams are starting to figure out our weaknesses and wear our stars out and have scrubs beat them. Role players are more inconsistent.

Best bet is still Capela, Ego and Mbah for now.

    howbout depth

gsw/kerr and spurs/pops figured it out long time ago

deeper team -> less fatigue -> minimize injury risk/injury insurance -> more offensive weapons/options -> more defensive energy options

Depth is a thing, during a season there is only a half depleted pool of players you can take on.

Or you go fishing in the Dleague or Euro leagues of this world. That's luck.

The good role players are mostly taken, then the best rookies are taken as well.

I mean pure talent, skilled players there always will be but they lack either on D or on O.

still goes back to depth. mda should have developed webber the minute he got here instead of playing garbage mamba. should have played & developed his bench (black, qi) more instead of going for blowouts.

either that or you you your 5 healthy players player harder until you're run into the ground

We should have gone deeper through the draft with McHale.

Sure, we would have lost games but we would have younger and more talented bench players by now.

I wish we could have players like Kuzma, Dennis Smith, Markkanen, Kris Dunn this crop is ingenious.

The age structure is off balance. Only someone like Popovich can handle this No Country for Old Men and rest them.
