Daryl Morey: You can't start Brewer at PG tonight. You'll have to start McDaniels.

Mike Dantoni: Yeah, I don't want to go fifteen rounds, Daryl. The lineup card is mine, and that's all.

Daryl Morey: That lineup card is definitely yours. I'm just saying you can't start Brewer at PG.

Daryl Morey: Well, I am starting him at PG.

Daryl Morey: I don't think so. He plays for the Sparks now.

Mike Dantoni: You *traded* Brewer?

Daryl Morey: Yeah. And Ennis, Onuaku, Pablo are all being sent down.

Mike Dantoni: You are outside your mind.

Daryl Morey: Yeah. Cuckoo.

 

What about D'Angelo Russell, and JJ Barrea? Are they amongst the top PGs in the league? The Rockets struggled against them too.

 

As long as Brewer can use his quickness to get to the rim when others can't, get some steals, and keep the pace moving I think he will be OK. He just can't be taking a bunch of 3's. Anderson and Harden need to take the majority of those any chance they get open. Clint can't turn that ball over as much as last game, and guys need to get him those alley oops often. KJ is the one who I love seeing come off the bench though. He is awesome.

 

This BETTER be a win. . ..

 

The Wizards looking pretty bad this season so a win is must.....a lost than we are in big trouble.

 

I'm still not over losing to the Hawks.

 

I was pretty upset too, but in the end they're just a better team overall...they've a far better front court obviously, but most of all, they play both ends, they have some kind of that winning team mentality that we lack, that's why no matter what, we're going to be a regular season team, nothing more.

The sad part to me, is that we have players able to play good defense, but for various reason (some of them are not ready, some are not interested, some are declining and yeah, the coach doesn't seem to care enough about that) they're not.

Since this is game thread, back to reality, which is that Brewer is getting 5 mpg less than last year, and both KJ and Dekker are already ahead of him in mpg, and will only get more. Looks like Brewer will fall into the 10-15 mpg range, if not phased out entirely....and that's barring no trades.

Since this move to starting lineup is largely done due to Bev being out, I'm willing to bet Brewers minutes continue to take a hit when Bev comes back.

Dmo should be the starting C.Even though he is not a great rebounder he is a good positional defender and has a good post game. Capella is just all over the place

 

Starting Brewer is such a horrible idea. Around 25% of Hardens assists go to Gordon who is a reliable shooter, meanwhile Brewer bricks his ****ing life away.
