So Gordon knocks down 8 threes, scores 36. Harden adds 54. And we still lose. This kinda makes me think that adding Gordon to that package for Butler would have been a lateral move at best. The real issue with this team is not the lack of a third star. It's the lack of quality depth.

Butler plays defense and would have a voice on how hard you play, more than anything Harden needs someone to hold him accountable.

But Tucker is the same as Butler in that regard. If Tucker can't do it, then Butler wouldn't either.

So you found a buddy that like yourself does not understand how salary cap works, and how Ryan Anderson's contract is still killing this team..

    yay!

I don't think that Tucker has that stature......I think Butler does.

It doesn't matter what his salary is as there is still no "difference" because the Rox are over the Cap even without his salary.

Instead of saying we could have replaced him with somebody else why don't you come up with actual players we could have had and who would fit under the cap? Anybody can complain but if you can't offer an alternative then what you are making is just noise.

It’s not about Ryan Anderson’s contract, it’s about what Ryan Anderson the player gave James Harden. Even if he is missing his shot teams will not run off him and leave him wide open for threes at a crucial stage of the game. If James Harden wanted Bradley Beal off of him all it would’ve taken is a screen from 6-10” Ryan Anderson who is capable of catching and shooting three-pointers. In order to prevent the switch all the wizards would do is collapsed inside when Capela or someone else rolled in until Bradley Beal recovered. Honestly, this is bad spacing and the coach shoudl have adjusted by having his players run to harden for open catch and shoots and spots to get cuts to the basket.

Honestly, kevin love might be worth a pick at that contract.

Now we have people hating on Chris Paul because he got paid, but in order to have a successful Rockets team you need someone who can control and run the offense when James Harden sits. And Chris Paul excels at that. Not only that, but he can give harden rest when they are in together or when Harden is getting attacked on defense or in the post.

I really hope he doesn't think that he can just bail if everything fails. I hope no well-run organization even gives him an interview. Morey is looking really washed up at this point.

It is really this simple. Melo b****ed out because he and dantoni dont see eye to eye. That means we cant afford to have more than 1-2 players out. We cant afford to have harden, paul, or capela out at all.

We just need to trade for one consistent rotational player who you can count on to produce. The problem is It is still December and most teams dont give up on the season until january. With how competitive the nba is from the top down it might make teams even more content to stand pat and keep trying to win games,

Everyone on this team is soft. Their old-ass bum bodies get injured way too easily. They're professional athletes getting paid millions of dollars. Maybe they should get into shape. At a certain point, it becomes more than just bad luck. Yes, Chris Paul is made of glass, but the rest of them are just hella soft. Play through your dumb baby injury.

I agree except Melo didnt b****.

If you look at reports he even went to FO and Coaching staff to ask what he can do to help and they told him to piss off. Obv his old coach the defensive assistant didnt like him and maybe MDA didnt like him tok but Melo swallowed his pride and came off the bench with no fuss for this team.

Its not too late to bring him back he hasnt been released yet bring Melo back!

He sucks at grabbing stars anyway. His only steal was Harden. Everyone afterwards was either washed-up, close to it, or required a huge haul to get. Every time, I hear the Rockets are interested in a star on the market, and Morey always fails in the process.

Youre right, they could have came to an agreement. He was getting 20-30 min a night. We could have told him the max he would get is 10-15 a night and maybe 5 depending on the match ups and more if their are injuries.....until he proves he can cover his man.

It was so strange how he strung together a few good games here and there and then after one bad game against his old team they decided to end it. He wasnt even to blame for that loss, but he was to blame for 1-2 wins this season.

Anyways, that ship has sailed. The only way it works out is if we make a trade for another player and he agrees to give it another shot if we fire mike dantoni. Its not happening.
