I think the best lineup tonight so far was:

Brooks
Barry
Artest
Landry
Yao


Everything was going right with them on the floor. They were passing the ball, moving around, setting good picks on and off the ball, playing good defense.

When Tracy comes back in the lineup, he's slowing the ball movement down as he has the ball in his hands most of the time. I think when he drives to the basket, keeps the ball moving quickly, and runs the offense, he plays well.

this is why you keep him for the playoffs. dude will step up.

we have too much talent for him to have that "TAKE OVER" mentality like he used to. i prefer him playing like he is right now not forcing anything and playing within himself.

 

Lets see Yao is forcing him to shoot over him and Blatche is making it. Obviously the guy is hot. He's an NBA player you know that happens from time to time.

 

if you follow the rockets, the knee is not injured. it's the LACK OF STRENGTH. so he has to play.

 

And going around him and through him and under him.

Yao has incredibly slow reaction time on both ends of the court. That's why he gets beat easily on defense at times and why he can't see players coming to strip the ball from him on offense.

His slow reaction time is also why he is a poor passer. He sees an open man but by the time he makes the pass, the defender is in the passing lane.

For people wondering why he is a poor rebounder for his size, see the jump balls at the beginning of games. I think Yao has won about 5% of opening tips in his career. When he goes for rebounds, players outjump him to tip balls away. When the rebound goes to either side of him, he is too slow to get to the ball before another player.

 

mcghee is also 3-3 for 6 pts.

 

that is very on point. and that is why you see even if JVG and adelman try to run the offense through him, as the season goes on, it never develops.

 

Let's take yao out the game and what's going to happen

 

i never said take yao out of the game. we have to devise a game plan to hide him when he matches up against these quick guys.

Scoal can not handle Jamison. On the plus side, ball movement is a little better with Ron out.
