The wizards are nothing right now, so this MUST end in W.
I predict a solid performance from Steve against his hometown team. 23p 8asst 8rebs and 3steals.
    Rockets win 92 - 78

This game should be a little easier with Laetner suspended for five games.

I forgot to post the source:

    Laettner Suspended Five Games
    Added: 13th January, 2004 4:55 PM ET

: The NBA announced today that Washington Wizards forward Christian Laettner has been suspended for five games for violating the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug policy.

“We’re extremely disappointed that this happened.” said Wizards President of Basketball Operations Ernie Grunfeld. “This comes as a surprise to us, as the league’s substance abuse policy is confidential. I have spoken to Christian and he is embarrassed for his family, his teammates, the Wizards organization and the fans.”

“I deeply regret any embarrassment that my actions have caused to members of my family, my teammates, my fans and the Washington Wizards organization,” said Laettner. “I accept full responsibility for my actions. I have elected to seek professional assistance to fully educate myself as to the consequences of my behavior to assure that these issues never interfere again with my career and my obligations to my team, my teammates and our fans.”

    No Stackhouse, Arenas, or Laettner.

If Mobley limits Hughes, then I stick with my original prediction

    Rockets 80
    Wizards 58

    One more comment:

It's a couple of hours before the game and the Game Thread has not surpassed 2 pages. The love is really dying down for the Rockets, I can feel it.

Since I don't do this that often...

The team that scores the most total points will have a good chance at winning this game.

    Rockets : 92

    Wizards : 78

I can't see how we wouldn't win this game.... but the Rockets might make it interesting :D

Already angry about this game, and we're winning. Two stupid plays from Mobley, one last second resorted forced pass from Francis since he couldn't jack up a layup in the paint, and Yao not grabbing boards and still tipping the damn ball. The teams just no fun to watch, and it's frustrating me to watch this team and it's players do the same mistakes every single game without any resemblance of improvement. But most of all they're just no fun to watch.
