These are some depressing responses lol...

But Harden can get us 40 points on any given night. Hopefully Wall will be obsessed with guarding Jeremy and will leave James alone.

But it shows that it can be done :)

Wizards shooters (Ariza and Webster) are on a two week+ slump. Let's hope that continues.

Come on guys, stop being so grim! I think things are improving. Defense was much better last game(not counting transition defense).

And how can people complain about Harden or McHale's lack of plays at end game? We stopped seeing those Harden dribble and shoot a last second contested 3 in the last play the game. Harden actually drove to the basket and trying to share the ball for the last plays.

The main problem we had was shots were not falling in.

Not sure what game you watched, but that was far from the main problem.

    FGM-A 41.4%
    3PM-A 31.6%
Missed 3 FTs in a row in 4th quarter.

    Tjones: 3-10
    Brewers: 0-2
    Garcia: 1-7
    Cassipi: 0-2

    HOUSTON HEAD COACH KEVIN MCHALE:
"It was just one of those games where we were just stuck in the mud offensively. It started off with a good flow, but then after that we just couldn’t get anything going.”

    JEREMY LIN:
    (On offensive struggles)

“I don’t really know what’s wrong. The last three games have been a struggle. It seems like we’re working so hard for everything. Nothing comes easy."

A couple of made FTs, a couple of additional boards, or a couple fewer turnovers would have made for a comfortable win. There will be plenty of nights when shots aren't falling at the clip you'd like, which is where little things like clearing the glass, taking care of the ball, and making your free throws become crucial. We were awful at all of those things last night.

I know this isn't the Hawks game thread so I won't further derail... but I wouldn't be worried at all if I thought the problem was just a poor shooting night. Unfortunately, I think it's more than that.

Yep. Was just saying one of the biggest complaints people had about Rockets's last plays was the Harden's dribble to 2 seconds and shooting a contested 3. We don't see much of that anymore. So things are improving. Can't improve everything at once. Once we get more injured players back, we'll be better.

Rockets shouldn't have to ball hard offensively to win games. But with the customary poor defense and turnovers, we usually have to.

Is Parsons playing tonight? If not, will Ronnie Brewer start again? Would like McHale to be flexible and consider plugging Casspi in with the starting lineup. And bring Aaron Brooks in early for Lin, give Lin more time to facilitate the 2nd unit since he's passing up shoots. Or maybe just start Brooks and bring Lin off the bench. Give the 1 and 3 a different look.

I feel a loss coming. We wont get blown out because we have too much talent. Wall will go off on Lin like every other PG over the last 2 weeks!

    Response

Lin hits a clutch 3, this time with his foot NOT on the line, for the win.
