I agree, but Harden holds on to the ball too long, until it's too late for anyone else to create shots. With Lin, he probes and then he passes. No question Harden is a better individual BB player, but I disagree that Harden is a better team player.

 

i agree. as long as he isnt getting tons of TO's, he should be the jab, and harden/howard/parsons can be the KO. let him control the ball while harden, etc get set up for easy shots. lin still has enough talent that if you dont respect him, he can burn you.

 

I disagree, if you think back thru the season, when the Rockets have been playing at their very best when the ball was moving and being pushed.This has for the most part been when Lin was in with the starters, playing like they just played at the end of the second quarter.

 

today is one of the few time Lin is actually directing the second unit with Brooks (2G), Smith(C), Omri(PF), Garcia(SM). You can add DMO there for PF or C. It is up to McHale to try this more and cut down the minutes for Harden/Parsons so they can still have their legs come playoff time.

 

McHale has turned his racism from against Asian to against Euros. :grin:

Yes, I fell asleep also during Black Heritage Night in high school. My hero is Malcolm X, not MLK.

 

the problem isn't just coming off the bench. if lin is to play real 6th man, he's going to play about 30 mpg. so the question is what happens when he is in there with the 1st team.

what happens when he spells Beverly and Harden is on the court? what happens when the team goes small with Bev, Lin, and Harden on the court? that's the issue not necessarily whether Lin starts or comes off the bench.

I want to see them continue to feed Dwight. None of this stop going to him in the second half nonsense we see far too often.

The right answer is usually the easiest. Lin is just inconsistent. He has motivation/confidence issues on top of that too. Nothing has really changed since last year to change this. Same coach, same system, same public pressure to play well. His game is bipolar. Sometimes he's aggressive and sometimes he's passive. Not sure if he will ever overcome it .

People saying he's a fluke or a scrub are just trolls . People who believe he's the next LeBron James are just nut hugger fans.

 

The problem seems to be how to make Harden and Lin combination work when they are both on court.

Never seen Lin fans say he's a super star.

 

Lin needs good screeners to be good. That's why Asik checking out of the season and Smith getting hurt for the most part have caused Lin's play to decline.
