ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 5/21/2015 (Western Conference Finals, Game 2)

We match up against the Cavs way better than the Warriors.

 

I said this before, and I say this again here, Thompson is one of the most overrated max players in the NBA, average defender, great shooter, but one of the dumbest.

 

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.

 

Harden should NOT be faulted on the final play... Aside from Dwight, the other Rockets players just watched, hoping Harden would somehow make a shot from the arc with two defenders smothering him.

Harden played his heart out.... I think he's more complete player than Steph Curry, and hence my MVP.

 

I hope if it's Cavs vs Warriors the league rigs it lebrons way... Give warriors a taste of their medicine

 

This game proves that even when Josh Smith plays like crap we still have a chance of winning. We need to win games 3, 4, and 5. It be nice to win game 6 too. I seen the Thunder do it to the Spurs back in 2012. Let's hope that happens here. I hope Josh can play better team basketball in the next game.

 

Agreed. All the great ones turn it over. It just happens. The only thing I question is not calling a timeout after the break is broken up and it is clear you have to go in to the half court set. Their D is set. You call a timeout at that point. That was a bad decision.

But CRAP this sucks a total of 5 points is what separates us from a 1-1 or 2-0 series

 

Tough loss but with a short-handed roster the Rockets need to play near-perfect basketball to beat this team. Unfortunately, they're still making just a few too many mistakes and there are too many guys having off-games.

Harden is amazing and the game wouldn't have even been this close without his stellar play, but he deserves some blame at the end.

For the last 7 or 8 minutes of the game EVERY single Rockets play was "GIVE THE BALL TO HARDEN". And it worked, too, because he single-handedly brought them back in the game.

But it's also unfair to blame the other players for playing passively. As irrational as it sounds the last shot was Harden's to take.

 

I am heartbroken at the moment...I'm a Christian & all, but if I got my hands on one of those officials, I'd turn Old Testament real quickly.

Two great games by our guys. Golden State just did what they were supposed to do, win on their home court...a lot of calls didn't go our way, but these things happen. Unfortunately they're always happening to us.

We win at home & can steal one, the series is ours.

curry just said in postgame interview: "the key for us in the next game is not to give up our 4th quarter lead again"

Why did the refs not review that out of bounds call? Were they not allowed or they jsut wanted it to be GS ball

Great effort guys! Come home and take care of business. We only have to win 1 game there with 2 more chances!

 

Yeah, definitely wish it could be different, I mean if harden didn't do what he did in this game (or even the last) it's not a 5 point differential (probably 20 points or. Something). But yeah I wish we could have a redo, but **** happens. I really believe Houston can still do this, just need ****ing Smith to show up like the Clipper series.
