Yao's following
The Warriors drew a sellout of 19,596 for Yao Ming, and Yao drew his usual roars when he was introduced or did anything well in the community with the largest Chinese population. Two of Golden State's six sellouts this season have come for the Rockets.

Yao said he does notice the unique treatment he receives in many arenas and especially in Oakland, but he doesn't give it much thought.

"The only thing I worry about is the Rockets, not about the people," Yao said. "I notice it a little bit. I don't feel uncomfortable. I don't really have a special feeling. I just get ready and get involved in the game."

I believe no one is as frustrated as Yao because he carries the pressure and faith of a billion fans. Give Yao some patience, he will not let Rockets miss playoff.

Pathetic. I am actually losing my enthusiasm with the Rockets. I can't believe it. When the game wasn't on tv I wasn't too disapointed.

The Astros haven't done any better, but I am going to keep watching them.

So....does this make us 1 game above the 8th place teams now?

5 game losing streak, isn't that the longest losing streak of the season....and it comes now!!!

NOthing worse than losing 9-12 games.

I feel bad for Clutch the bear, it's going to be a L O N G year till next season's playoffs.

I hope you're not saying Yao's recent HEARTLESS play is indicative or representative of "the Oriental character." Because that would be a huge insult to people who actually do embody the pride and passion of the Oriental character.

ridiculous.

and people say Chinese people have no backbone. spineless comments like that sure helps. where's the pride man? meanwhile, people are support WZZ to the death. c'mon, Yao has a strong character and deserves our continued support. you can criticize, but if you give up, then please don't jump on the bandwagon again when he turns it around.

NBA.com recap says that for the first time in his career Yao declined to talked to the media after a game.

I think he is frustrated as hell, and hopefully he comes out agressive tomorrow.

Someone blames the coach from Yaoming website:

I just came back from Oakland Coliseum. This was the first time I saw Rox play live. I have to say that Rox problems are not so much about Yao Ming and the refs. Today's main problem is the coach.

I arrived at the Coliseum a bit early so had a chance to watch Rox shoot around. Everyone was so relaxed and missed so many mid ranges during the shoot around. I thought that was just their swagger. After all, Rox owned GS in the past several years. Few weeks ago loss to Warriors is just a fluke. But, shortly after the game began, I knew I was dead wrong.

Rox had no energy coming to play. The entire team had no urgency and intensity. Who to blame? The players? In a team sport, it's coach's or team leader should be the one to motivate, inspire, energize the entire team before hand. Rox should have a totally different mentality come to play this game. The level of intensity, a sense of urgency, the hunger for win, I saw none of these in Rox's body language and plays. JVG should tell the players, this is do-or-die; this is no-tomorrow. We have to come out letting this guys know that we're ready to break our arms and legs to win, are you ready to break yours? You see, this is all about psychology. If you trash talk about this before the game, the opponents would think you just bluff. You need to show in action that you're ready to go as far as needed to win this game. Then, the opponent might back off once they get the message. After all, Warriors don't need to get themselves injured to win this game. Rox need this win badly.

I don't want to get into too much about plays, tactics and etc. JVG is much better at these. I and many other Yao and Rox fans in the Coliseum are disappointed Rox didn't play at the level of intensity as they should. They were mentally and psychologically unprepared.

Who said GS is a lesser team? They have won 10 of last 12 games. They won last 6 home games in a roll plus tonights. I didn't have high expectation Rox would beat GS tonight. I just think they didn't prepare enough to give themselves a chance to win. Troy Murphy shot 9 out of 12 from the field. GS played very well not because Rox played very bad. After all Rox had 90 points.

A couple more points as I need to sign off since it's getting late. Yao lacks the intensity when he is way deep in the paint. Yao should feel holding a bomb when he is inside with a ball. He should try to dunk or shoot with more authority and release the ball very quickly before the defender can react just like Shaq does. Who to blame? The coach. Coach should already point out this kind of details after watching Yao play so many games.

Rox players have a tendency to cry about the officiating in the game. Don't ever, every stop playing when there is no whistle. Several times I saw JJ and SF wave to the refs calling for fouls while GS players continued playing then driving to the hoop. Why wasting time and attention on something that you can't control?! Play on!!! Let coaches handle this while you're playing. I can see this is the mentality among the Rox players and in the locker room. Whose fault of this? The coach. I know JVG has said many times the players shouldn't complain. I don't think JVG has communicated this clearly on how to handle this on the court. Emphasize do not stop playing if there is no call. Keep playing hard until there is a whistle. Complain after the play or after the game. Not in the middle of a play!!! This behavior costs Rox dearly!

Another problem I see in the game. When GS had a run of 5 or 7 points, JVG quickly called for a timeout. Why show weakness to the other team? Call timeout when there is a foul or FT! By doing this, you basically admit your players are making mistakes on the court at this moment. I remember in last Lakers game where there was a stretch Lakers lost a comfortable lead and turned into a 7 to 9 points deficit, Jackson didn't call timeout until a Laker hit a 3-point dagger.

There are too many other details that I don't have time to get into tonight like the passing, set picks, shot selection, defense and etc... I'd rather take a top-down approach. I think JVG is not in the same league as Popovich, Jackson, Hubie Brown, Don Nelson, Adelman...... The more players in a team sport, the more important the coach, e.g. football comparing to tennis or golf. I don't feel that JVG has a pulse on this team at this time.

Worst loss of the season bar none.

I have never been more disappointed in the Rockets than I am right now. They are getting their punk card pulled and are just accepting it.

Unbelieveable to serve up this kind of effort on the heels of a huge story in the Chronicle the DAY OF saying the Rockets could be in the process of a Collapse of HISTORIC proportions!

Seriously, what is it going to take for this team to be motivated?

Bust 'em up, time for an overhaul this off season.

I'm now at this point at well. When they were 13 games over 500 everything was looking good. Now, after losing what 9 out of 12 games they are on the verge of missing the playoffs. They couldn't even get up to play the GSW. pathetic, not much more you can say

YOF's really should stop blaming around. Is it SF3's fault that
Yao couldn't convert only 1 mili-meter from the basket? Is it
Mo Tayler's fault that Yao falls to the ground even no one
barely touches him? It is JVG's fault that Yao continues commit
stupid fouls?

SF3 is the heart of this team. Rebuild around Yao next year?
