What is up with the free throw disparity--

Rox are 9-9

Golden State 19-23

 

Our shooting has returned... but we just have no answers at the defensive end.

I feel like the Warriors can do anything they want down there... they're getting wide open shots, or Barron Davis will get a foul call everytime.

 

JRicharson just got some freaky athleticism!

 

Man, count yet another demolition of our backcourt by an opposing team's backcourt.

Add GS to the list of teams that far outplay/out-talent our backcourt. J Rich and B. Diddy are slaughtering our backcourt right now.

We will need an upgrade there too sometime in the future

 

The warriors stay hot but we are right there with them. once they go a few minutes with poor shooting we will take over.

 

Excellent game by T-Mac and Yao so far, I am really pleased with their gutsy effort.

But if Baron Davis keeps being hot and lucky like this, it will be a looooooong night.

Thankfully, T-Mac is heating up too

 

thats just not right. they are definitely calling it two different ways tonight.

 

Or, we'll just continue our recent trend of shooting cold as well.

The key here will be that the refs will hopefully stop calling these contact fouls in the fourth... and it won't be such a FT disparity.

Right now, our offense is executing great... but I secretly think it also has something to do w/ GS's AWFUL defense.

Watching B Davis plays, I thanked God everytime we never signed him, he reminds me of dare I say..... Franchise!

 

I wish we could have that pre-allstar break team back

 

Well, he surely is killing us now, everything he throws up is going in.

Why does it ALWAYS seem like someone on the opposing team has a career night against the Rockets? Why does SOMEONE always has to get hot?

There is something about us that might be pissing off other teams

 

How can they have so many FTs?

 

I was just now thinking the opposite. When was the last time a guy just had a game like this where we were completely at his mercy? This is one of the only times season that i can remember. Dirk's game was also similar.

 

BD is going off, just what we need a 50 pt night by BD.

 

I agree with all of your points. i was just trying to be optomistic. i don't tihnk the refs will give us a break, but if we keep up our offensive execution we should have a good chance.


let just hope we stop giving the refs a reason to call fouls (don't come close to fouling) and just play great defense.

 

C'mon now Golden State has 30 free throw attempts , and we have 10 !!

Geesh, its a miracle we're only 5 pts. down, these refs are giving them a 20 pt. head start!!

No, I don't think the Rox are fouling that much or anything, it is just pure bias by the refs, they are calling weak ass fouls on us, and turning around and letting Yao and T-Mac and Sura get hit all the time without calling it.

Yes, they are a bit more aggressive running inside, but not 20+ FT more aggressive, not by any stretch of the imagination.

The refereeing of the game is quiet bad, really one-sided. That is an objective assessment too BTW, I have said before when the Rox were getting calls their way that they were getting lucky with the officiating.
