ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 4/28/2019 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 1)

Unbelievable

 

This game has me feeling a bit like I did after we won Game 5 last year with that Pyrrhic victory (knowing that it was likely over despite that win). It feels like it was our best shot on their court. It’s not over, but I feel like it will come down to Game 7 if the Rockets manage to hold serve at home.

 

Play dirty the remaining games. Send a message to the NBA we will not take laying down! Don't let them land when they jump shoot. Grab, puch, etc..

Unless we change the dynamics, those ****ers are going to win anyway.

Clit Capela had 6 in the 3rd qtr when I checked and ended up with 6. And he is beside CP3 in the Utah post game running his big ass mouth. Harden and EGO each had 4 rebounds.

 

I didn’t watch the first half so can’t comment on those fouls. There was some undercutting in the second... but they could have easily won the game regardless.

Bigger issues are Gerald Green -16 in 7 minutes. PJ Tucker with 0 points yet you have to play him cause of defense. Yet even then they’re at a rebounding disadvantage and give up offensive rebounds. CP3 not shooting enough. And strange MDA rotations down the stretch. Shumpert. Nene at the end. Even if rebounding is an issue Nene isn’t sticking with Steph over and over. And no Austin Rivers.

Fix those and play defense the same and you can win the series.

4 none calls on klay & dre that potential end Harden for the series and that's 12 points.
That's the game & numerous other calls on the rockets & none calls on the rockets.

 

not exclusively at all. That was just terrible terrible basketball. I can't count how many shot clock violations we had, or people stepping out of bounds. or Capela butter fingers, and Gordon Iso's. air balling 3's.

 

For a starting center to only get 6 rebounds and only get 4 points with 2 of the best passers in the game.... is truly shocking. Capela's movement has been off in the playoffs for the majority of the time. He has to give Harden and Paul a better option.

 

Thanks for the take, Codman. I’m trying not to pay attention to my screwed up back, which is tied up in knots. I don’t know how you are doing, but I do know it’s on another level from my ****ed up surgically “repaired” back. Keep the posts coming. You are valued here.

Nah. We underachieved severely in '16, so probably that season.

 

We lost game one last year in an uglier fashion. I still feel confident that we can make this a heck of a series.

Have to fix the rebounding issue, and.. well... not let Klay have 9 fouls.

When will MDA understand that Shumpert will never get it. I don't get all this hype that he's a good defender. He sucks at Defense. He does ISO step back 3s for bricks. I wish we would've kept Ryan Anderson at this point.

 

Please make a thread of that tweet by @Clutch Referees admitted it, they are human and let's see what they will do. Can we please just acknowledge some problems of how we played or will it just be let's **** on the refs conspiracy theories?
