    How can the great Houston Rockets lose to the vastly inferior Golden State Warriors? Unthinkable!

    No excuses tonight... not one player had a good game for Houston, and JVG's coaching was questionable as well.

    As far as I'm concerned... this team would have been better served by forfeiting the game and flying straight to Sacramento. Not one positive thing was revealed in this game... the first completly useless loss the team has had since Steve's suspended game against Phoenix.

    That's how little energy/passion they played with or coached with... they weren't ready physically (and with 3 days off, how's that possible?), they weren't ready mentally, and you add those all up, you'll get a loss 10 outta 10 times.

    Worst game ever...

    The weak team played strong
    The playoff bound team played DUMB.

    And the refs were weak.

    Incredibly horrible and disappointing loss. That last minute of basketball just showed what kind of season Steve is having.

    Yao can't be forgived on today's loss.

    He couldn't shoot well, ok, that's normal, everybody will meet somedays with cold hand. But he lost the courage to struggle after frustration is absolutely unforgivable, even to a YOF.

    Why doesn't JVG yell at the refs every time Dampier has 2 arms on Yao Ming?

    That is a foul, it is ridiculous how they let him get mugged like that.

    I understand it somewhat with Shaq because he mugs back, but Yao is usually the recipient of the mugging, not the mugger.

    Oh, and Steve Francis is just pathetic, he doesn't fit.

    He tries hard, but with Yao blocking the lane he has no room to do the thing that he is best at, and that is driving to the hole.

    Mobley has fit in far better than Steve, I think steve is out of here.

    At least I hope so....

    SAD SAD LOSS.

    Man, this was one ugly game. It only got exciting near the end when Stevie began to hit his shots and the margin was down to 2pts after being as large as 14pts.


    Yao and SF were pathetic today.

    Yao was 4-15

    SF was somthing like 6-16. Both very terrible games.

    Rockets are in deep trouble

    Like this time last year, the Rockets are in a similar situation? Can they get out this lowly point and head for the playoff, or they fall to the same stone they stumbled upon last year? This remains to be seen or to put it more precisely, will be revealed in 10 or 20 days' time.

    After the game against the Golden states, I almost see that Jeff Van Gundy sit before the microphone and take up his former job as a sports announcer, and the band of Rockets are dismantled. After this loss, everybody will doubt if the Rockets can make to the playoff in April. Remember, the bad sign has already begun, Cato on the injured list and his backups not healthy...

    It will be a tough journey ahead!

    On a separate subject: DON'T GIVE SCOTT PAGGET MORE THAN TEN MINUTES TO PLAY IF YOU WANT TO GET TO THE PLAYOFF.

    This guy just assumes a role on the roster but contributes near nothing. HE PLAYED SOME MINUTES IN THREE GAMES THIS SEASON, IN TWO OF WHICH HE STARTED. GUESS WHAT, THE ROCKETS LOST ALL THREE. Doesn't that tell you something? I dare say, next time you let that guy start, a loss will sure follow.

    To back up my argument, here are the stats of scott pagget in those three LOSSES.

    Warriors 90, Rockets 84 :F 15 0-4 0-3 4-4 1 2 3 0 1 1 0 0 4
    Rockets 97, Suns 99: 29 2-7 1-2 0-0 4 5 9 0 4 1 2 0 5
    Suns 99, Rockets 79: F 10 1-3 1-1 0-0 0 1 1 1 1 0 0 0 3

    To sum up, the Rockets lost, but Scott Pagget is not the scapegoat. And don't mean to beat a guy when he is down. He is a decent guy playing 3~8 minutes. I just don't see the point of him playing ten or even more.

    ONLY THE ROCKETS CAN SAVE THEMSELVES.

    i was at the game and SF3 looked like he doesn't belong on the court. he's like a jumping bean and TO machine. a nice cross over and then miss a layup?? 7 turnovers vs. 5 dimes? when i left the game at the 3:30 mark with Rox down by 12 SF3 had only 6 or 8 pts. no i don't miss his late 3 pointers and layup, which saved a bit his face but everybody knows it doesn't count anyway.

    tonight SF3 was outplayed by an ancient AJ and a green n' blonde Dunleawy. that's as simple and obvious as his frustration or JVG's fast balding head. the guy is a lost soul on the court, god have mercy and send him away to the Leastern Conference!

    Yao was manhandled tonight. i guess Big Bill will be for the first time at a loss for words about the Dynasty? Or he'll crank up the system and write a poem about the unicyclist who's so calm and perfect at her stunt that she's the true star of the game?

    at least my home team won. i cheered for both shamelessly just like many of the fans there in what turned out to be the 5th sell-out at the arena. Yao, i bet he's been weakened by homesickness from that fake home-like air that maybe some 40% Chinese created. Poor son. now i'll lend this to Bill so he can sleep better tonight.

    I agree, they should send more tapes to the league office or something. Most centers push Yao with two hands, but Dampier is one of the only ones strong enough to actually push him that far out. He did play some crafty defense though, he pulled the chair on Yao at least two times.

    How can an athlete like Steve Francis with his great ability play at such a disgustingly low standard? Has he given up? Is he deliberately working against JVGs or Yms sucess, if he forces me to play that way then this is what he gets?
    Is he deliberately lowering his Trading Value, hoping the Rockets wont be able to make an equatible Trade?
    Or is he just past his peak?
    These questions must be asked because as much as we blindly think that Steve Francis might turn the corner, we are dead wrong.
    He doesn't fit and he knows it. This sort of behavior is going to upset the Rockets because we all saw how he played against Sam Caosell and the Wolves, we know that he can turn it on, when he
    wants to.
