Good effort tonight. Even with the defense still shaky (granted against an outstanding offense), if they played like this all the time it's safe to say they'd be much better than a .500 team.

It's odd, the consensus after this game is resoundingly "blow it up, this team is not good enough." And while that might be true, surprised that it's because of this game. We played as hard as we have all season and hung though against maybe the best team in the history of the association.

We were actually playing decent defense. They put up 40 in the 1st quarter. They weren't having an off night by any stretch. Curry went for 35? That's an above avg night for him. Klay is a choke artist, but he had to expend a lot of energy guarding Harden so its understandable.

Their bench is where we lost the game.

The team isn't good enough but as far as blowing it up, I would just trade away the biggest contract and turn it into a star or role players that fit the team well. Trading Dwight would still be considered pretty significant and even a "blow up"

People were saying that before this game. There is a whole thread called blow it up that was created a couple of days ago. See now thats not odd at all, lol.

If the team played as hard as they did tonight every night we'd improve on last year's record.

    Wow!

    Ty Lawson -22
    Brewer -19

Can we agree they are the problem? I mean! Wow!

And it's an easily fixable problem. Trade them! For anybody, for anything!

    Just don't play!

There is reason to think this collision between Houston and Golden State generated gravitational waves... but we'll need some proof.

McHale was saying that this is basically the same team that won 56 games and went to the WCF last year. That team is still in there somewhere. To which Barkley joked: "It's in there alright - deeeeep in there".

Dwight was not in good form in this game. He just looked a step slow except for a stretch in the second quarter when we made our comeback.

Bad free throw shooting, was not aware of the double team coming on offense.

    Hope he rebounds

If we played as hard every night, or even just a majority of nights, as we did against the Warriors last night, I bet we wouldn't be barely in the playoff picture. Just too much inconsistency in effort and performance.

Right - people have been saying that since the start of the season, really. I'm talking about the reaction following last nights game and how it's not really in context of the loss, lol.

    ^^ Hit post too soon.

I think it has more to do with our place in the standings, the fact that we're back at 500 and that there's a chance after tonight that we're out of the playoffs.

The warriors game, in a vacuum is not a bad loss, but it matters.

I was surprised the Rockets came back and actually got a lead. I think it was because GS started taking the game for granted after they went up. They played sloppy for a while there. Then, they turned it on when they had to. No team will beat GS when Curry is hitting 3s and doesn't miss them. As far as what Harden said about taking away momentum, I don't really see it but whatever floats his boat. I think we all knew once we got the lead...it wasn't going to last.

At least the Rockets put up a fight. I thought they were going to roll over like they usually do.
