I get our defensive woes but IMO that is mostly a coaching and scheming by product which can hopefully be remedied with a coaching change, but we DESPERATELY need a legit 2nd scoring threat along side Harden, there's waaaay too many one dimensional, in-consistent offensive players on this team.

Big Al, Jeff Teague, or even Ryan Anderson would be great.

You do understand that the Rockets, as constructed, need Harden to handle the ball, right? Just watch when Harden sits, and you will see leads get erased quickly, a tied game will turn into a lead for the other team or when the team is down already, the lead for the other team gets bigger more often than not.

Don't blame Harden for handling the ball. Harden on the floor gives everyone else WIDE open looks, because all defenses ever do is put multiple guys on Harden. We don't have guys who can consistently punish the other team's defense for focusing solely on Harden. What's even worse, there isn't another guy on the team who can run the offense. Yeah Ty is on the team, and even though he has looked better for the last month or so, he is still too timid and isn't decisive in running the offense. Without Harden this team is HORRIBLE on offense, PERIOD.

Now Harden isn't perfect, but then no player is. Problem is, other stars can have off-nights, turn the ball over a bunch or shoot poorly and there is at least one other legit option to take over the game for them or at least take some pressure off that other star.

Yes, we have guys like Ariza and Thornton who can catch fire from time to time, but the Rockets don't have a LEGIT second option. Howard is NOT that. Sure Howard is a good player, but it has become obvious that he can't finish the way he used to. You can't really go to Dwight for offense, because outside of 3ft from the basket Howard is useless most games. Howard should be dominating against most bigs, but he rarely does that.

Just look at the 4th quarter today against GS - when Harden was sitting the team didn't manage to score one basket and GS blew the game wide open. Now I haven't looked at the box score yet, but watching the game it felt like Harden was the only one scoring or assisting on all made baskets, except for that one Bev floater I think. That's not gonna cut it.

Harden was the best player tonight.

    FLAT OUT MVP Tonight.

Too bad he plays with bums like Bev and Ty.

Howard is also an idiot. Need to get this bum out of here, I thought this loser is rubbing off on Harden. Always the stupid foul. He and Hassan should team up with Cousins for ALL STUPID team

Tonight showed how dangerous GS's role players are and that is why they are so good. Curry is a no defense playing chucker who slides by because their other pieces are so good.

Harden doesn't have that luxury -__-

More needs to make some moves now, if not for this season then to set us up for next season if we get KD or Barnes.

Look at Livingston, he is so long for a PG and is able to go to the post for guaranteed points when they're in a drought and even pull down crucial rebounds. We need someone like that IN ADDITION to a good starting PG + PF help

Livingston instead of Bev or Ty would probably mean Rockets in 5th place instead of being in 9th place after tomorrow.

Can't believe how horrible Ty is. They might as well be playing 4 on 5 on Both OFFENSE and DEFENSE. At least Bevs give you some D and some rebounds.

TY should never see the floor again with the Rockets

Never understood why we waived him, thought he played well in the few games he had.

Correct. Plus his high basketball IQ didn't fit us as well.

    We fucced up[IMG]

Just chalk that one up as another failure by coaching to properly utilize/integrate pieces. Which is a major problem for this team currently.

Never understood that move. Didn't understand us dropping other players like green and acting as if Dragic's contract was unreasonable because he wanted a fourth year team, so what.

Josh Smith again sitting through second half with neither team playing power forwards.

Rockets might need a point guard to score. Beverley, Lawson a combined 1 of 9, though Beverley does have six assists. Some Jet time?

This wasn't even curry and klay's best games. They get it going and the rox wished they never faced them. Being honest here
