You can roffle all you want. I still expect Yao to drop 20/10. And last I checked, the Lakers shut down most of the Rockets in that 3rd quarter.

Yao will get his--in the 1st half. Phil Jackson makes sure of that. Watch any Lakers/Rockets games from the past few years. The Lakers let Yao do whatever he wants in the 1st half and then double and try to take it away from him in the 2nd half. It's not Yao's fault that JVG has yet to pick up on this or that no one steps up unless we're down by 28.

It's about planning different kinds of attacks and not just fall into the same trap over and over again. So just go on ahead and roffle until you get carpet burns because Yao will still play fine. Don't believe me? check his back-to-back performances if you want. I'd say it's pretty good.

It just depends on how well the "others" play.

And earlier in the season, I believe the SA game, Rockets had a big lead late in the 3rd, the starters stayed in vs. SA's reserves, looked tired and lost the lead... then people b****ed about how the starters don't get rested.

Today, Yao gets a blow late in the 3rd and people b**** about that, too.

First of all, did those role players get a chance to play? I mean at least some regular game time? Novak was great in the preseason but JVG doesn't play him for some reasons. Hey, if he doesn't shoot the ball during games, how do you expect him to come out and all the sudden to win a game for you in the wanning sec?

But JVG does. JVG even started Novak in one game when he didn't play before at all. Can anyone explain that? Just like JHoward. He didn't play a min in the first few games. Until Hayes got hurted, he started the PF position.

I just don't see that JVG is using his rosters at the best possible ways.

I expected Yao play better than last rox/laker game. He is smart and he should/must figure out how to deal with laker. From his tracking record of crack opponents, I'm sure he can burn kwame/bynum duo, you never know. Otherwise tomorrow's game will have too much laker show.

Did you guys see that JVG shouted to Yao after his 3s violation in the last min, and Yao just ignored him. It seems that JVG is scared to lose the game. JVG made some blunders today. Let's hope tomorrow we will be lucky.

yea..that's what I was trying to say. I dont' know if you were trying to discredit my post or agree with it..but no matter. I just don't like the concept or the theory that if a guy shoots the long ball extremely well, that you can just insert him into the lineup when he's cold and expect him to knock down jumpers (see: Novak).

You look at a team like the Lakers. Now of course they don't have the security of having a Yao but that doesn't stop them from playing most of their players. Virtually all of their players contribute. Our team have to have some semblance that when they make substitutions, these guys are ready to contribute BECAUSE THEY GET PLAYING TIME. What's the point of having a dangerous perimeter shooter out on the floor if he's cold? What's the point of having a speedy and feisty back up point guard who never sees the court because our starting PG is chucking up shots at an alarming rate?

    I agree with you.
Sorry, I was just too mad about the loss and misinterpreted your last post a little bit. I was in a hater mood that nothing seemed right. Please accept my apology.

our offense is Yao. Without him, we couldnt get going and when he's winded, we lose. As simple as that. When the other 15 mil guy sits, there is no team that can be good in this league.

Man, this team with 3 semi starts like Josh Howard caliber surrounding Yao would be real nice.

I was at the game today and was just disappointed. On an interesting note, Yao was practicing 3's before the game started. Just thought I share with you some information you may have not known.
