I hope Yao is extremely motivated and pissed right now, and dominates everyone and swats everything in tomorrows game

Quite often the ball goes right back to the inbounder with such little time left on the clock. 1.2 seconds is enough time to touch pass the ball right back to Head for a last second trey.

I don't mind the inferior play calling as much as the short rotation. There's a reason why a team can be 12 man deep. If Novak, Lucas, Vanoulis, and even Bonzi got garbage minutes, it would still help them get into the fold with the team. That would help out a lot especially in a situation like this--where one of our superstars goes out with an injury.

I have no doubt in my mind that Novak, with limited minutes and not the 1-2 minutes he gets, can be a decent contributor on this team. That goes for Lucas as well.

You need the role players to step up during the regular season so the starters won't be dead tired come postseason. If this shortened rotation continues, I'm pretty sure Yao will be exhausted come February.

The Spurs would have been all over BD like a cheap suit on that shot. The Rox usually play better D than that but for some reason Yao ended up guarding Baron and Battier came up too late to challenge the shot after Yao left him looking for his man.

This was going to be tough road trip with Mcgrady and almost impossible without him.

I'm not upset about the last shot, but I'm upset about 4th quarter D. Seems like they scored on almost every trip, and they had like 4 "and 1" baskets. That really cost the game.

I agree. JVG should give Yao about 35 minutes no matter what. He has to trust others to pick up the slack in the rest 13 minutes. When Yao is overused and tired, he is not very effective anyway.

From here on (gulp) its all the teams above us on their court and the Roxs are without T-Mac (gulp)....It does not look very positive but you never know(gulp). Once again games like this must be won(gulp)...This is probably are hardest month of the season and we really need T-Mac ...Man this wine takes the pain away :D :)

Can someone create a thread like Fire JVG?
I really wanna see how many ppl would agree with me that JVG is not the coach for Rox, especially this game.

rofl wow are you going to say that isn't true? Are you ****ing joking me? Yao was already winded from this game and the last Lakers/Rockets game they effectively shut Yao down in the 2nd half.

JVG did not make a good game plan tonight. Yao simply took to much shots, at least 10 more than he could handle.
We need balanced game either offensively and defensively
JH, SB, Hayes should takes more shots.

I didn't blame him for his last shot. But we all saw: He had a TRAVEL, missed a JUMP SHOT and then made a wrong decision to SHOOT the 2nd to last attack around 20s to the end. At that critical points, attacks should be performed by our GUARDs, piercing. Head or Alston should do it, but not Yao.

Yeah, that seems like a turning point of the game. GS found their momentum, rockets start losing. He must want to rest Yao to reserve some energy for 4th Q even for tomorrow. He must bet his bench can hold for 3 mins. But when you bet, you can win or lose. Sadly he lose today. NOthing to blame him, this is what the game all about. GS can go crazy, they beat Spurs/mavs/det with larger margin.
