Agreed. 1.2 seconds is not enough time to pass the ball. It's pretty much a catch and shoot situation.

Not close at all. I blame this on JVG. If only he allows Yao to practice that shot. Yao is more than capable of shooting threes.

Even though it is a lose, I gotta give all respect to rockets, I really do not know who to blame.

But, Refs and luck were not on our side.

I know but he didn't have enough time for that this game. Having that threat on the floor is better than not.

I'd rather trade Yao cause he is NOT a superstar who can bring us victory even vs a team like Warrior. I remember in 99 or 00 when Koby couldn't play, Lakers led by Shaq did have good games.

Yep seems like the same play from last season when Luther drilled the three...anyone recall?

    Tough loss..it hurts.

He actually beat the buzzer on a 3pt shot with that play against the very same Warriors last season.

It was a good look...for a player that has no business shooting a 3. There's no damn way that that is all JVG can muster up. No way. This is the guy that diagram so many screen plays at the end and that's all he came up with? It would be easy to say that that was the best available pass, but none of the other Rockets were exactly making cuts or curling so that they can get their defender off. I'm mad, but more perplexed by what happened in that huddle during that timeout.

They showed that play where Head inbounds the ball and Yao gave it right back to him. I was hoping the same thing would happen with Battier and Yao.

Yao does practice that shot quite a bit. He had his fundamentals wrong on the catch and shoot. He didn't need to fade away. That's something his coaches in China should have taught him back when he was a teen. He had plenty of time to ge this feet set and launch. Don't know why he faded. That would have gone in if he did everything right. Good play though. I wanted a Yao 3. He'll get it next time. I wont be surprised to see him hit a buzzer beater 3 in the playoffs.

That team was coached by Phil Jackson. Enough said.

Wow, you're new but you've got my vote for CF.net Moron of the Year.

38/18 is not a superstar? It takes a superhuman shot by Davis to win the game.

    Moron.

This game was exciting and very entertaining! What a game from Yao Ming and Luther Head, both gave of their best.Sorry for the loss but Bonzi is showing positive signs and its my bet that very soon he will be a major contributor.
JVG still overplays his starters and doesn't know how to effectivly incorporate his reserves into the game. The Refs were lousy! The Warriers Color Man was even worst!! :)

    2 TMAC
    3 Battier
    4 Hayes
    5 Yao
