I'm not arguing anything. Just saying that we have a bunch of very inexperienced guys, including the head coach, trying to figure out how to do their jobs.

I know you have an inherent dislike of Green because you wanted Mobley.

TBH, I am disappointed with Green so far. Would he be better if he was put in a more structured environment? Probably. But I am not blaming anyone. He needs to figure it out. Great players do. I hope he does. For now, he doesn't look like he's very smart at the game. And KPJ looks even worse, maybe because he is supposed to be the one who sets up the offense.

 

I think what everyone isn't taking into consideration is that this team is rarely getting blown out early. They tend to hang in the whole game and each of the young guys is showing some flashes and growth. I'm happy with how things are trending. Green is 19 and likely won't round out until 22-23. The key will be getting him to want to be a part of the culture in Houston for when the pieces start coming together.

 

I think we may sometimes over value gleague. It is full of people who are older but also people that didn't not excel in a big time college league. It's also not like the top coaches coach at gleague vs college. I would think you get better coaching and better competition on college especially if you are like mobley. Ilwe have no real evidence of any player who benefited from going to gleague over college and I think early returns show it is not beneficial.

A big man also does well with play makers around him and any player benefits from better coaching. Just look at how up and down woods is, how well do we think mobley would have done with wood vs Allen and kpj vs rubio

 

I actually do not dislike Green.

I root for him every game.

But I cringe when stupid AF comments of make him a PG or he is going to be a HOFer.

Green is going to struggle this season and likely for many seasons until he can improve his strength, finish in traffic and figure out a mid range game.

Mobley is the better player but I have hope for Green.

So maximizing Green and putting him in best position is key.

But let's stop blaming other Rockets when Green underperforms.
