That's because KPJ is still showing some things even in games where he's not shooting well because he plays defense and creates for others.

Green has his hot shooting night, then has been the worst player that routinely gets non garbage time minutes on the team.

You expect young players to struggle with consistency....you just hope they don't look as bad as Green.

He’s one step away from being one step away from being one step away from winning.

I think when you draft you look at the ceiling not immediate results. Green is not NBA body ready but he can get to the rack and he can get his shots off. I think those things still give him a higher ceiling than mobely.

I think drive matters too so it will be interesting to see who hits the gym more in the summer and improved their game.

That being said if I had to pick based on results of today, I would def pick mobley but who wouldn't ? This isnt about who is the best player in the first half of their rookie year, this is about who will have a better career and the jury is very much still out

Takeaways from this game for me: Wood was horrific, and actually looked like he was sulking/not trying a lot of the time, deffo not the All Star he thinks he is. Both KP and Green need benching if they can't perform, give their minutes to Christopher and Brooks and make them earn it by playing better, it'll teach them something. Sengun needs a LOT more minutes, he's the only rookie who looks game ready. Tate is a solid player, people should really stop pushing for him to be traded, he's our glimmer of hope right now in terms of actually playing well. Theis and Augustin actually can fill their vet roles well for stability, we just need more of our youth to perform and we could do ok.

Houston had something like 20 turnovers and 14 assists through 3 quarters. I don't think Looney, Green, or Curry even played the 4th. It was worse than you think. :D

Youre not a better coach some of the players are getting better though.

KPJ played well overall, 11 points, 7 assists, and some solid defense in 27 minutes isn't bad. That said, I'd bench Green for KMJ and start Sengun over Theis

They do, but it's not a herculean effort by Curry to win close games. Curry has put up typical superstar numbers, yet the Warriors have the highest differential in the league. That speaks to a strong supporting group / bench more than #30 carrying them.

I love our future, but having a young backcourt consistently shooting 35% makes for one long, long, loooong season. Excuse me I did not emphasize this enough. Having a young backcourt consistently shooting 35% makes for one llllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggseason.

Second best player is not Jordan Poole. Although I will say, he's been on a tear recently.

And when were we ever near the top of the standings when Jones was our second best player?

Everyone looks like ass. The only high percentage play these Rockets run is Sengun in the low post. It's baffling how other teams can get their players open shots. Rockets struggle to get anything thats uncontested. I'd bet 95% of Green's shots are contested 3s or 2s. KPJ tries to take his guy off the dribble and into traffic for either a turnover or contested layup. Wood I won't even get into.

Just not high percentage stuff. Wood is terrible. Green needs coaching. Sengun is also not off the hook either with continued missed free throws and inability to finish at the rim. This team's a ****ing mess and it's made CF a hellhole.

On the positive side, we were able to remain competitve with Lakers, Nugs and Warriors for a good period of time until they inevitably beat us. We do pack and punch and they can't just steam roll us in the first half.

We were second in the league with Dwight out for months to begin the season. Also Poole is their second best player we can agree to disagree on that but I actually watch the Warriors play not just looking at boxscores.

Terrance Jones was literally never our second best player. He might currently be the 2nd best player on his Puerto Rican league team.... unless he's washed out of that league too.

Seen so many years of winning season games under Harden that it can be difficult to watch this rebuild. Keep your expectations low for a few years folks.
