I went to the game, rode in an elevator with Aaron Brooks at halftime and saw him go to the ATM in the Sideline Club. Don't know what that's about, prolly getting some spending money for when he hits the club after the game.

With a look at the scoreboard and the +/- Stats that seems so important to this board i wonder if it is time to give both Francis and Scola consistent 30+ minutes per game.

    What do you think??

(actually i wanted to create a thread on this subject but I can“t, when will i be able to?)

Blah blah blah blah blah, its very funny reading many of your posts day 2 day. when we win you all couldn't be happier but when we lose all i read is trade him or we suck. what ever happened to optimism and sticking behind your team no matter what?

That concept went out the window at about the same time as the Stockton shorts.

The only difference is that the latter was a good thing.

this game i'm just upset at the effort, win or lose just play hard, and i can't say the majority of the team played hard last night.

are you really arguing that chuck hayes is invaluable because he didn't SCORE???? if you're measuring test for anything chuck is '0 pts with 0 attempts' then you are really missing the point.

for once, i'm glad i missed this game. i did flip to it in the 4th for a few seconds and almost died from shock that we were down by 20+. no sense in reviewing this game...rockets were just running on empty after the big phoenix win. we were spent.

Posts are generally positive after winning, and generally critical after losses. That's the nature of competition. You are making a critical mistake, confusing analyzing your team with abandoning your team. If you can't tell the difference, then you probably misinterpret 80% of what is said on this board.

It's really annoying to hear people post the same, transparent, played out patriotism-inducing, meaningless non-sequitor: "EVERY TIME WE LOSE IT'S LIKE THE BOARD IS DYING AND WHEN WE WIN EVERYBODY THINKS WE'RE INVINCIBLE, LOL YALL ARE BANDWAGON FANS."

Wake up. The BBS attitude generally reflects the Rocket's performance. We all are going to criticize, micro analyze, place blame, ask questions, even DARE I SAY..... be pessimistic if necessary. Quit acting like you are a better Rocket's fan for 'sticking by your team'.

Posting the empty, unoriginal 'stick by your team' post in a game thread in which we played horribly is unamerican.

In this game he didn't do much i.e he's not rebounding or blocking much also.
Why.. I guessed it's the fouls and opponent aggressiveness and quickness. I think Adelman did right by allowing him only 10 min PT. If Chuck consistently
put up 0-2 pts and getting fouls for 10 min or more PT with less than 4 rebounds, he is definitely a liability. He is already a liability in offense but in this game, he is not contributing much in defense as well (especially for the first quarter).

I also noticed that we did have a chance to come back in fact twice but
everytime we are even are slightly ahead, we started to launch three or
trying out long shots which we missed badly. I like the way we catched up
after 15 pts behind after the whistle (slowly a little by little and by passing, driving and getting the rebounds) and we should have sticked to this way until we make a reasonably comfortable lead before trying those long or outside shots.

It aint micro analyzing it's macro analyzing, it's negative hate, ignoring the facts, blatant wishy washy lukewarm vibrations. Just think if the players thought on this level, if they did they might as well just go ahead and mail in the stats and say season over another first round exit.

The negative energy after a loss goes beyond constructive criticism. It's schizophrenic, it's no patience,it's gloom doom the season is over and then after a win everybody has a superman cape and can jump off into the grand canyon and walk on air. TOO FLAKY

My point is not that it's ok to have such life/death polarization by BBS users, my point was that there is almost no way around it. Any large community with a common interest will have all kinds of views expressed, and unfortunately, the bbs is inundated with 'doomsday' threads or 'superman' threads after every loss/win and this is sort of a rule of the internet. For every intelligent, thoughtful poster here, there are 40 inexperienced, fickle fans who start the 'trade yao', 'fire adelman' threads.

You're right. If you read all the game and post-game threads straight through, and take all posters at their word, then yes the criticism is way beyond constructive. It's not new to have overdramtic, flaky posters come alive whenever the favorite/most-hated player plays a great/poor game that proves them right.

My only point was that, yes, the BBS on the whole gets way too high and way too low. This is not new, this will not change. You just ignore the posts which are obvious overkill, or reply to them on why they are wrong in basketball theory.

It is equally counterproductive to BBS conversation to say "EVERYBODY IS A LUKEWARM BANDWAGON FAN. YOU GUYS NEED TO STICK TO YOUR TEAM" than to post 'doomsday' armageddon fire-adelman threads.

I can't wait for the next game. This disaster needs to be in the rear-view mirror. God, what a cockup.
