    Why if the Warriors have such a small team cant we start Martin, Brooks and Lee? Lee is a good defender and could have slowed down Monta alot better than Battier could. You could stick Martin on the SF if you needed.

    I don't think it's so much Battier but rather Ellis just being on fire.. I mean he's making contested shots left and right... Should listen to Bullard and knock his ass on the floor.

    I doubt Adelman's going to base his decision to start Battier simply on +/- stats.

    I don't know why he's guarding Ellis in the first place. It's common sense. Brooks cant guard Dwight, Yao can't guard Chris Paul, and Shane can't guard Ellis.

    Their whole team is shooting well. the rockets need to get more physical in their perimeter defense imo.

    With the substitutions of Jeffries and Lee, you can already see a difference in the pace. Both should do better at containing their men.

    Survivors of the Holocaust got over it faster than your butt hurt whining about Battier. I think 28 consecutive posts about Battier should have exhibited your thoughts sufficiently by now, right?

    No. i am sorry. I was taking a shot at some guys i was having a conversation with earlier today about this same thing with Shane. Posters on the Clutchfans. Apologies. Misunderstood. i should stop before they have me shot for not being in the Battier fan club. :grin:

    battier was awesome defending monta ellis. ellis could never get a 3 point shot off, battier never fouled ellis and subsequently increasing the team foul total, and battier drained immense energy from monta by causing such a heavy workload for monta.

    Battier also was great in making sure monta's teammates weren't involved, and so that meant his teammates could never get into a proper rhythm. battier was also greatly responsible for a quiet night by dorrell wright and his misses.
