ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Timberwolves 4/21/2018 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 3)

If we want to win this year, we CAN'T play a **** game like this one. We don't have hustle, come on guys...Harden is playing like he's playing Drew League Finals

 

I really believe we will win game 4 close then win by a big margin in game 5. I've seen this episode before.

 

With OKC? This is different. Minnie is stronger, is not only about 1 player (like Russ last year)...it's about Towns, Butler, Teague, Rose...

 

We got stronger too. We beat them 6 straight times. This loss was coming eventually. Just regroup and respond!

 

Harden taking these shots and making them will be what puts the team over the top. And that point, you have Harden at all 3 levels and the defense has no answers.

 

Especially in the first few possessions of the game. He was wide open and would do nothing with it. Ball would be passed around and we'd end up with a bad shot.

Our goal should be to get our scorers open shots. So when our best scorer is open, he should take the damn shot. Don't overthink it.

 

IRONY: As fans we want the team to fight through adversity. But then when adversity hits, the FANS crumble.

Think about that.

 

I am not worried about the series...the way we are playing is the problem. In game 1 and 3 we played bad....with no hustle, nothing. Harden in game 1 dropped 44 otherwise we would have lost that game...we have to play with more focus and energy, you can't play with that attitude in the PO

 

True but 29 and is just ok for Harden,when we're losing I expect MVP Harden and point god Paul, that's what it will take to win a ring this year. Otherwise they can both be number 2 and number 3 to Lebron James next year.

 

Wow. I recall talking with you about Harden. I talked down and you defended him. Now it's flipped, lol. He does need to play better, obviously. I'm still somewhat confident he turns it around.

 

Not gonna win many games when the other team shoots damn near 60% from the three point line. We'll be fine. Offense needs to find itself again.

This isn't your regular crumbling. Yeah sure every game thread some people knee jerk and crumble. Im usually not that guy, normally im laughing at those people. But what you don't get is this isn't about beating the wolves. The Rockets are capable of playing beautiful basketball but they are not. They waited til the worst possible time to play their worst basketball. We cant play like this against other teams we'd be 1-2 if this was most other teams in the west.
