They passed it to Howard and wallah, he seemed to care more on defense and ran up and down the floor.

Good coaching would have sorted this out MONTHS ago.

Part of "passing it to Howard" is the dribble penetration from Bev (and Ariza at times). It is that "additional" playmaking (aside from Harden) that helps unlock the team offensively in the half court.

Ariza has been good for our defense, and overall chemistry and Bev is a pretty tough guy, but if Chandler wasn't focused on personal glory with the Mavs, his playmaking would have been of some use to us today.

Lawson's failure to gel with Harden was the biggest blow IMO this year. Bev works hard, but playmaking is not his strong suit unfortunately.

Couldn't blame KJ and even Jones for that matter running around like chooks with their heads cut off, given they were only given 4min in junk time to impress.
Certainly KJ is a far better player than he showed yesterday.

Regarding Timberwolves side, outside of their starting lineup, I thought their bench was garbage. They may have an upside with the likes of KAT, Wiggins and Levine (if they can keep their core intact), but when they rest they were horrible.
Despite their recent performances, I wasn't that impressed with our play despite the big win. The biggest difference is we finally hit a decent clip with our long range shooting.

We need to get smith going with his shot, play making, and defense in the paint. He was a beast against undoubtedly the biggest front court last year against the clips. We should all learn from Boston... it was the D.
