Shamelessly quoting my only posts in this thread. ;)

LOL. I dont know why you guys get so defensive. I said Luther made at least 2 stupid mistakes today. I said we are not yet ready to beat the elite team (as we MUST do just to get to the playoffs) as we make silly mistakes. You dont think Alston tends to force the issue whenever we need a basket badly? You dont think luther and wes make unforced errors like dribbling the ball out of bound off their own foot or telegraph their passes? Yao is improving but you dont think he makes unnecessary fouls or turnovers? I say we got lucky win tonight(Rockets: 39.7%FG, 62.2%FT) because T-wolves sucked so badly (how many pts did they get in first 10 mins of 4th qtr?). What's wrong with my comments? I just wonder what would you guys say if we play the exactly same game but lost the game. It would be like "xyz sucks" "trade xyz" "fire xyz". I just dont think the victory covers our mistakes. T-wolves is 26-33. REMEMBER we HAVE to beat SA and Dallas just to make the playoffs.

Man, we go and get a must win game on the road, and half the highlights are of KG (and his shoes?:/) on espn nba fast break? :/. WTF is up with that? However, Yao did (finally) make their 'all-star' game.

Sure, get Yao the ball, but you leave it up to T-Mac if he wants to get Yao the ball. T-Mac does a good job of figuring out whether he should take the shot, or try to get his teammate a shot. 2 examples I can give you off the top of my head is the Lakers' game we stole from them, when he had like 10 seconds left on the clock and the ball. He decided to drive in, and between 3 guys, he got off a layup to win us the game. Also, the first game in New York, NY was threatening to comeback before T-Mac drove the lane, drew a crowd, and set up Swift for an easy dunk that really put the game out of reach.

Just get the ball to T-Mac.

Another random stat I noticed. Yao's first back-to-back 30+ games of his career. Kind of surprising, but just check the game logs.

Swift is earning his minutes game by game. Now, it's a 3 way split at the 4, 5 position between Yao, Howard and Swift. I just hope he will eat up more of Howard's minutes. Not because I hate Howard (I think Juwan was a very steady 4 for us), but I see Swift as the future PF of this team.

Juwan can retire with a ring but Swift will help to build a dynasty.

    edit:

I see others have covered this for me.

KNWS did not rebroadcast the Portland game like FSN does.

Its funny...Ive been doing this for a while now, and it seems like every season, there is always ONE game that gets messed up/not recorded for whatever reason.

I think we deserve an apology, not excuses.

It's crazy to call on the silly mistakes when Yao played one of the most error-prone games in his career. The 0 TOs does speak volumes and he was anything but slow on the defensive end lately. His lateral movement has been pretty good during the past 10 or so games, so I think that calling him "slow" might be a little biased towards how he was before.

When the game is on the line, TMac should definitely have the ball, providing that he's our best shot creator. One thing that I've just noticed, is that when TMac's on the court handling the ball, Yao can get his position easier because the eyes are always on TMac, including the opposing center. What that means, is that TMac can throw up a shot at any time and you can't keep your mind towards pushing Yao out of the paint. There are a few times in this game that Yao could not get the ball because he is too far out and they have to reset their offense. The game and the floor opens up when we have both of our superstars in the game.

With that said, it's a great win, so for once, let's try to stay positive.

Please do not use the term 'we'. You are not one of us and I am not one of you.

We beat KG's team on the road with Tmac out and all you want to talk about are the mental errors, turnovers, silly mistakes, unnecessary fouls, stupid mistakes and unforced errors of the players? Right, you have used all these terms in one single post to describe the plays of our Houston Rockets players after a tough win with one of our two star players out.

    Please go away.

Just saw the replay of the game......Awesome game, at least in the 4th qtr. Yao is really playing big!!! I can't wait till T-mac gets out of his little slump. They are really starting to make an awesome tandem. Imgaine what we can do with both of them at the the top of their game at the same time.....

I think KG will have to move his game into the POST to be great
KG does not force the action alot of times
he makes the TECHNICALLY right call . . passing etc
but sometimes. . he has to say F*** IT and put his head down
and take it to the RACK on 3 guys . . . .
    he doesn't

You team is 0-11. . . you should not be passing
He should have started to do a bit like AI
even during scoring droughts. .. AI gets to the line
    he manufactures points

    KG does not do that
    He maybe TOO unselfish

I agree KG is too unselfish on the offensive end this year. That's his way of coasting through another meaningless season in Minny. He won't tank to the extent of Vince Carter, but he's clearly on cruise control. If/when he gets traded to a team he believes in, we will once again see the old KG with fire in his eyes on every position.

There is a 100% chance Kevin McHale gets fired. Their new GM has a lot of key decisions to make about that team. Trading KG would be stupid.

I think it's more likely that he cannot do it. He has never really been a beast inside the paint down the low post.
