Rockets had an uncharacteristically hot shooting game against the worst team in the league. Last one was like 20 something games ago. I hope no one is thinking this will continue.

I think the majority of us hope it is a fluke.

I was playing with the draft lottery simulator today and we kept losing our pick. Need all the losses we can get. Thank goodness we have the hardest schedule in the league remaining.

Yeah its def a concern. But they have the toughest schedule in the league so hopefully this just a blip in the radar.

Still crazy though how a team with KaT and Edwards lose by 20 to Olynk and KPJ? Lmao.

They may be good enough to win us out of the lottery pick. They are not G-leaguers.

Yeah rix need to be in the top 3 worst record to have a chance. If they actually start winning games this team will be an even bigger joke.

I don't know how this team fields its current roster and keeps its hold on the bottom three for tank purposes. I want this team to win, and i think it's silly to openly tank, but by this point we've already, wittingly or unwittingly, put ourselves in a position to keep our draft pick by sucking. Right now you have a tank arms race. Orlando has gone all-in on tanking, divesting of all discernible talent. Detroit looks good on some nights, but they're not working too hard to win anymore. Minnesota, as we saw tonight, is going to have a tough time competing with anyone.

As much as we joke about 'fade for cade', if this team comes down the stretch of this season a game out of the bottom three or slightly holding onto a lead at the bottom, then you'd have to think the team would sit all of its talented players, no? It would by that point have to be deliberate and brazen - let Lamb and Patton start. Make sure Wall gets lots of minutes.

Minnesota is the perfect example of why playing for lottery doesn't always equal success. They have 2 number 1s and they suck. To make matters worse Kat is actually a good player too and jury is still out on Edward's. All the more reason for us to develop players like kpj, Tate. Kmj.

The Rockets have been a good franchise for many years now. I understand we all hate Tilman but there is a history here that we do pretty decently not staying bottom dwellers. If we had a sure fire lottery pick this year where we wouldn’t be at risk of losing it, I would be okay with not blatantly tanking, but we need the highest odds possible to keep that pick, since we are going to lose that pick if we fall out of the top 4.

This year cannot be wasted on not having anything to show for having a horrible record. If we still lose our pick, despite having the highest odds, then so be it, but we cannot just be complacent in handing that pick to OKC.

Yep, CF tells me that Silas has been purposefully tanking. :rolleyes:o_O

Silas says all the right things about Porter but he doesn't evince that same joi de vivre when he talks about Wall.

Bottom 3 is a must imo. That gives us an even chance of acquiring the top pick.

I didn't see the game. Why did Wood miss it? Another injury?
