As I said before, this team has to play with an EDGE to be successful.

Right now, they apparently they don't feel the need to do that against a non-playoff team like Minnesota. They also didn't feel the need to do that against a lesser team like Boston.

We can all say that they'll have it for the playoffs, but if this team can go from being really tough mentally to soft as hell in just the span of a week, they might not be as prepared as they think they are.

I think people are missing Howard's significance to our team.

While not the best one-on-one defender in the league, Howard is an exceptional team defender, he makes his switches and stays with his man, and you can probably tell that by how the Celtics were getting uncontested inside shots the whole game.

Also, on offense, Howard is very good at knocking down that 18 footer, which keeps defenses honest on Yao.

The whole team is playing lethargic, much like the Celtics game. No ball movement also.

I think another thing that I have noticed is how different Bobby Sura is playing since coming back from the injury. I don't get that same energy and tenaciousness from him, and since he is the bulldog on this team, I think that might have a ripple effect throughout the rest of the team. I don't see anyone taking an initiative to be aggressive out there.

I think JVG is right when he says that FThrows tend to tell you about a team's focus or lack thereof. Look at how many missed FTs we have this game, and how many in the Celtics game.

But as for THIS game? Simple: look at bench production. That right there is enough to tell you how badly we will get beaten this game.

May be JVG is right in that the team got a bit cocky and overconfident, thinking they have locked up a playoff spot.

It helps though Memphis has lost today.

The funny thing is, I feel like Yao and T-Mac ARE aggressive and are trying hard, but for some reason that hasn't translated into success lately. T-Mac is trying hard, but his shot just ain't dropping. I guess he is in one of those stretches right now.

They're playing 4 on 5 at the offensive end. That's the main reason why they are stinking it up.

Good point, but look at bench production. "Lopsided" doesn't do it justice.

T-mac needs to start trying to split the double off the PnR and stop allowing himself to be pushed out to half court

    EDIT: T-mac shoots ANOTHER 3

the Rockets have mailed this one in .......................i can't remember the last time I even thought that

Wallace can D up, he can rebound and he is good at driving to the basket. Spoon is not good at any of the 3.

the problem is, he hasn't shot the ball once when he's wide open, the D won't respect him unless he at least shots the ball, let alone makes it. 18 mins of garbage time now.

Greg Anthony said that the Rox are helping Minnesota by not going to Yao more, and taking advantage of the mismatch...

I think they have done a very good job at going to Yao this game. But Minnesotta would be IDIOTS if they didn't focus on the only guy shooting the ball well on the floor. The Wolves have picked up their efforts in denying Yao the ball.
