and d. wade is about as banged up as they come. allen iverson too. steve francis was a very good shooter at the begining of his career. he then began taking the ball to the basket more and more and injured himself on several occasions and as you know missed alot of games because of that. on top of that, he has almost completely lost his shooting touch

    On the positive note,
I liked when JVG had the twin towers going.

I agree that Yao probably should be more of a focus of the team, if we want to win games consistently. He should have more touches, not as many as T-mac, but more than any other player on the team. Yao's stats remain the same, but his role on the team has been demoted a few notches. We win because we shoot well from the outside. We lose because the outside shots aren't falling. Either way, Yao's a non-factor. This season, a lot of teams excel even without an inside presence. Seattle, Washington, even Phoenix. This new phenomena injects a lot of blind confidence into the guard position. Many think that shooting lights out is the way to go, which is a big mistake.

Look at our team now. T-mac is the only guy on the team who have the right to 'jack up' shot. But it seems that Yao isn't even the second option. Our guards seem to attribute the success to T-mac and their play. That's why they're reluctant sometimes to use Yao more. Sometimes it's hard to argue. Take bob sura for example. We're losing lots of games without him and we're winning tons of games with him. Is he the second best player on the team?

Clearly, our players' roles are not that well defined yet. They need to figure out that soon or they will lose more games.

when you have a superstar like tmac, you live and die with him. He was off, so were the rockets. The twolves played pretty good as well, give them credit. Time to move on.

Yao is a huge factor for the Rockets, and they have been making consistent effort in the last few games to get him the ball, but he didn't last on the court too long, or got fatigued and was starting to be pushed around by his defenders. I think it is rather difficult to argue that Yao did not get more touches the last couple of games (in losses) than he did in previous games for the most part. If you watch game tape, you will see that he got the ball repeatedly at the beginning of the game, because I guess JVG put emphasis on that, and Yao was very effective. As time elapsed, he seemed to be more tired and was being pushed around a bit, so the game quickly shifted to a guard-oriented game.

At this point, Yao is not ready to take on the primary role in the offense, I would love for him to be so, but he isn't, mainly due to his conditioning (JVG said as much about his fatigue factor).

When the Rockets players go to sleep tonight, they better dream about shooting freethrows...
Even with T-Mac playing like crap, the Rockets could have been in the game if they would just make the damn freethrows.
What the hell happened all of a sudden that they cant even shoot freethrows anymore..

By the way...wasnt J. Howard one of the best FT shooters on the team? I hardly ever seen him miss any
