I have to say that that's true. Sura's a good player but I don't think it's gonna work out with him at the point..actually, it depends on who we're playing. Sometimes he's great. It's not pretty when he's forced to shoot. I think he's still recovering from injury. Our whole team just has been bad past 2 games for 3 quarters..and try to come back at the end..it'll be okay!
    BEAT THE HEAT!

I absolutely HATE the fact that the team struggles ssooo much when thier 4th and 5th best players are out of the lineup. Come on now, it's just Bob Sura and Juwon Howard! I would understand if Yao or T-Mac are missing, maybe even David Wesley, but not Sura and Howard, come on now, NUT UP!

Wolves are really a bad team now. Except for KG, they have NOTHING.

However, rox is too bad tonight. we have a chance to come back in the last quarter, and sura turns it over, and james misses a point blank bank shot without any defense.

this team doesn't really have depth. When we lost Sura, we struggled for several games, and when we lost JH, we have struggled for two games in a row.

We missed 15 freethrows tonight and lost the game by 8.

If Yao, Tracy and Deke had made a couple of FTs here and there, it could have been a different game.

I hate T-mac. Why he shoot so much when he's completely oof to night. Give the ball more to Yao when you are off!!!

Look for the truth underneath the stats table, PLEASE. Sometimes it's not the number of shot attempts that counts; it is how you run your offense through. If you've followed Heat's game, you will see the fact that they keep running the game through Shaq, which is very effective so far. While for Rockets, you know the truth. Yao's role has greatly diminished so far. And the outcome is bad whenever the perimeter shot doesn't fall. I always wonder why we can mix the T-Mac first offense and Yao-first offense a little bit more through out the game. T-Mac is great for many nights, but he will get cold for sure sometimes in the playoff season, and we should be well prepared for that in advance.

Yes, give 10 more shots to Yao, so he can average 20 shots a game, while the great Shaq himself averages 14:rolleyes: [/B][/QUOTE]

T-mca, when you don't have shooting touch, you can try driving every time against a bad defense team like wolve. I mean EVERY TIME. Tonight you are rewarded when you choose driving, but moments later you go back to your jump shooting. No excuse!!!

On this Yao not getting enough shot attempts, it's DUMB! Yao gets all the TOUCHES he needs to put up more shots but he passes it back out a lot, too much at times.

Count the touches, not the amount of shots, also take into consideration the amount of minutes he plays. Maybe do a shot per minute breakdown, I guarantee you that he's top 5 among big men in that statistic.

If Yao is only a role player, then the Rockets will NEVER win.

So to refute your comments, any real "Rox Fans" would be praying that Yao becomes a superstar, and quickly too, because that means the team wins more, pretty simple!

I don't like T-Mac more than Yao, but Yao is not a superstar yet (a couple more years likely) and T-Mac is one believe it or not, despite the fact he stunk it up tonight.

Remember all the games we won because solely of T-Mac's heroics at the end of the game? Yah, I know, it is easier to forget now, even I did for a second there.

T-Mac is also a guard, meaning he doesn't shoot nearly the percentage a big man like Yao does, so he needs more shots to be effective. Simple really, it has been true on almost all teams that have had great big men and great guards, except for a few exceptions.

I think that would be why. But Rox Fans loving T-Mac more than Yao? You must not have been reading this board regularly, there are a bunch of people who like the Rockets SOLELY for Yao's presence on the team, we call them YOF

Yao's block is always good. But his rebound always hurts...

Barry played good. But James can't hit anything.

Things we now know about the Rockets now:

    1) Losses come in pairs

    2) Without Howard, they have NO mid-range game at all resulting in more forced 3's

    3) Howard's injury has really messed up the team's mojo

    4) TMac looks as if he is either really tired or is nursing an injury of some kind as his shots look even more flat than usual.

    5) Yao needs to get the ball more and he needs to be more aggressive at going to the hole. He/they has shown progress in this area lately, but it needs to keep increasing (especially without Howard).

But this is the one I look forward to...

    6) After a couple of dissapointing losses, they always come back with a couple of big wins.

Bottomline: The team finally found their rhythm and Howard's injury has given them a set back. Coupled with that along with their collective shooting and TMac going into a slump, adds up to two stinkers. They'll likely pick it up and finish the month strong.

It says MUCH MORE that they are fighting to the very end of these games than that they actually lost.

    Go Rox, I still believe!!!
