ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Timberwolves 3/20/2005

If we could make 2 of those 4-5 shots, we are still in the game even though we played so much crap in the first 3 quarters! This loss is so unforgivable!

There is no excuse for this game, we've just been sloppy, pure and simple

 

The Rockets have no heart.

The Wolves are begging the Rockets to take the game, and yet: MJ missed a layup and a follow up 3; the first pass Sura made in the 4th quarter was a TO......guys are playing with no fire at all.

 

I'm guessing the team's next practice won't be too much fun.

That really is the case with EVERY loss. No player should be saying "I played well, so its not my fault we lost." Every player should own up, because if there is no W, you didn't do your job.

 

we only have 8 TOs, but we've been sloppy with the ball even though the stats don't show it

 

THis is just another missed opportunity. They fought so hard to get back and can't be focused enough to make easy shots.

The rockets deserve to lose this game. Stupid Rockets. How hard is it to play hard and keep up the intensity for EVERY SINGLE GAME???

The Rockets are good when they play hard....but overall...they SUCK. I can't believe I'm saying this but I just can't believe we support a team that DISGRACES their fans for INCONSISTENT EFFORT.


I hate losing....but I can still deal with a loss or two as long as the effort is there.

I guess every team has their good days and bad days.

We ain't immune to it either. The only thing you can wish for is that the Rockets go on a roll in the last 5-6 games of the season, and that this mini-slump doesn't last beyond these 2 games.

sidenote: the ESPN announcers are saying that T-Mac took up 22 shots from the team's 70 (or something like that), and he said there should be more balance in shot taking.

The problem with that analysis? It has been trash time since T-Mac was 4/12. So he has been trying to shoot himself out of the slump pretty much ever since that point. Obviously, that didn't work either

 

I said it again. TMAC is the most selfish play I've ever seen. Yes, he'll always get his 30pts every night, at the cost of the team! Dammed. When u can't score, do other things to help u team.

 

did Hassell shut down TMax last time also?

 

I disagree, there are some games when a team loses but 1 or 2 players have a great game.

For example, you think Lebron was the reason why Cleveland lost earlier today?

What I'm saying is that no one played well tonight including the coaching staff.

he has 7 rebounds and 3 assists. I'm annoyed with his shot selection, but if he hit 3 or 4 of those sohts he missed, the score would probably be tied

 

well, if one thing is to be learned today its that tmac as well as the rest of the team have to drive and be aggressive when the shot aint falling. we almost pulled off the comeback when we started driving to the hoop.

 

cant blame this game on the refs at least, 29-41 on FTA ugh
