I got my tickets and exited. Because the Rox have been so bad I haven’t seen a full game in a couple of years.

Mind still blown by how good the Timberwolves are. It still seems weird seeing them on too of the standings.

 

Maybe people got swept away a little too much by how they overpaid for Gobert... Edwards is blooming into a great lead star, KAT as soft as he is, is still a good second option, and Gobert is a great defensive player. Jaden McDaniels is lowkey Trevor Ariza++, perfect 3-and-D guy. Naz Reid is a 6MOY candidate and Conley has been a steady hand at the tiller. They look set up to make a deep run in the playoffs, but we'll see.

 

ROX will need to go crazy from 3 to have a shot.

 

at least we'll get to see a real all-star player this game

We just can't have them shooting 42% from the 3 like last time against us, and our best 3PT shooters need to start taking more shots, and Jalen less of them.

 

Keys:

On offense.

Wolves' defense has been to defend the perimeter and the paint. They have the personnel to excel in both areas. Minny also gives up the middle (on purpose). We're not a middle range team (like PHX or Clippers), so be mindful of not getting baited.

On their recent Orlando loss, some of the Wolves players gets heavy footed. So transition (which our team has been doing more), could take advantage.

Continue with Senhub and backcuts. There could be opportunities for Amen and others.​

On defense.

As a darling as A. Edwards has been, there's been games where he's a ball hog and doesn't move the ball. Between Edwards going vs his rest of team, let Edwards have a game and take away the team. Keep Edwards a jump shooter. Dillon single coverage, unless Edwards goes bonkers.

Final note

Wolves defense is very good; if Jalen wants that big extension, we kinda need him to show up on offense tonight. That's all I'll say.
