Yao probably may have problem dealing with the change of his role. After he just feels like he finally becomes the focus of the offence Tmac comes back. I think once you has been a CEO, you just don't know how to be the VP anymore. (and playing him more high post further makes it worse).

 

not sure if that was a foul.

 

i'm not saying he's not tired, but a real franchise player would not get tired after carryin a team for a whole month. and it isn't like yao didn't get a lot of help from the role players during that stretch.

he's not fatigued. he just has to focus.

 

Jefferson is winning the battle down low against Yao.

Come on YAO! free yourself from that fronting....get open. Do something!

I wish Yao would be as aggressive as Jefferson...guess he's too slow though, need the ball delivered perfectly.

Rockets don't have much energy.

So funny. he played the most minutes and he isn't allowed to be fatigued. yao is not your franchise player. your franchise player doesn't take 6 shots into the middle of the 3rd quarter.

 

The problem with this game isn't Yao, it isn't T-Mac, it isn't Rafer.

It's energy. The Rockets are mediocre because they play down to crappy opposition. Always have. They're talented enough to win most of the time. But when the other team actually cares the Rockets get burned. Big surprise.

You're absolutely right. He's already proved that he can play speed athleticism. That's why he never has to prove it again. Not tonight, not ever. Because he proved it once, in one game through the course of his whole career. And in the future when Yao has 8/4 games, he can point to that one night out of 600 games and say "HA! I already PROVED that I can play against speed and athleticism!"

 

Next time you're playing pickup, stand on pogo sticks, then have two sweaty fat guys covering you; one in the back and one in the front. Then try scoring the basket.

he's running fine. he's not trying to catch his breath (a classic sign that he's tired). he's not huffing and puffing. he's not putting his hands on his knees (another sign of fatigue).

so tell me, can't u guys just let him have some off-games? he'll bounce back.

stop making excuses. he's struggling, but he'll bounce back sooner or later.

 

I don't think his counterpart (Mr. Andris Biedrins) can make jump shoot. Yao can't deal with some guy with speed and can shoot.
