The last couple games, Rockets would have lost big to good teams. Tmac is doing fine, but the way of using Yao is mind boggling. Almost exclusively high post again.

Which is intresting because...yes I know, this is kinda cheap but...

    Yao is a +4
    Landry is a +2

And please, given what we know about Yao, please don't infer that he plays without heart. He might suck some days, but seeing the player Yao is, questioning his heart is low. Questioning his ability, physical form, yes, but I think we disproved that "soft" crap a long time ago. Personal opinion.

But eh, if Mac is in a groove, I don't care if he takes 50 shots, as long as he hits 50%+.

Really, so choking and playing down to the level of your opponents hasn't happened at all this year? Did you watch the game against Philly per chance? Did you watch us choke against NO at home? I could go on and on. No, this definitely isn't a JVG phenomenon.

playing down to crappier teams and blowing leads at the end of games is something that's been happening this year too.

JVg has moved on but some things remain the same.

Relax. This is NBA. In NBA, most of the games are mysteriously close games.

I agreed... some posters are really hostile around this joint. Unforgiving, non-supportive.

These last 3 games by Yao remind you of why he's never been out of the first round.

Yao is softer than Charmin tissue.

I anticipate a big come back from Yao in the 2nd half. He should be able to make such adjustment now. Great players made adjustment and rectified their shortcomings during game time.

Don't let me down, Big Yao.

These Rockets have a huge problem with playng down to their competition. They always have. Maybe someday they'll figure out that's not a good idea, but I didn't see any urgency from any of the starters in the first quarter, except Scola.

Hopefully they don't come out in the second half and expect to cruise all the way to the Cleveland game. The T-Wolves are the kind of sub .500 team that would try to make a run in the second half. I'm guessing they're going to play hard in the second half to try and win.

It's horrible watching Yao slip from 10th best NBA center to #11.
Defence Grace D- Offence Grade F.
There must be a reason for this! Iwonder if its that Tracy was out and getting the team to play the team conceptand & now that Tracy has come back it all goes back to the way it was before. :p

scola has made a big difference in the starting lineup.

when yao is fronted, he flashes to the high post and the defense has to respect him.

he can either throw a lob to yao or hit a guy like battier witch is usually open on the waek corner.
