i agree --i like chuck but not as a starter--and if more teams ignore him on offense he will really become a problem--we need a bigger chuck hayes in the middle with yao or on the perimeter dropping 3's

Well it is obvious that from the minutes played by 4 of our starters on the 2nd night of a back to back, that until Van Gundy has a few more guys on the bench who HE trusts that they can produce, that we are doomed to more nights like this where fresh legs would do wonders, but if they are not attached to the right people then we will continue to watch the Rockets implode at times like these.

I hope Clutch is right and Bonzi is still riding that bike and getting ready. Sura too - it would be a nice Christmas present.

Well, I think there is a difference. The ref gave Yao a T for taunting an opponent -- whether you and I agree or not -- after Yao scored a bucket emphatically and let out some emotion. James, however, didn't get a T because the frustration was directed at himself. His action didn't interfere with the progress of the game or the morale of the opponents in any way or form. A no-call was correct.

Although the T on Yao didn't seem to do any damage to the Rockets on the scoreboard at the time, since it didn't cause a TO and Davis missed the FT anyhow, IMO it dealt a blow to Yao psychologically, which may have affected his play down the stretch.

If we only look at the Yao's T in isolation, we may have to give the ref some benefit of the doubt. I don't think we have a clear case in the face of a judgement call. However, the outcry by any Rockets fan (not just YOF) at unfair and inconsistent officiating is fully warranted, at least in principle, when you have the refs blatantly let KG get away with his antic, which is several times worse IMO, not long after one of them T'd up on Yao.

This is what I was thinking. We have a few back to back game coming up this week and next week and Yao and TMac must show that they can win the second game of a back to back.

Im sure there has been plenty of Juwan hate but the guy makes me depressed. I hate his decision making and most importantly, I hate his heart. He plays like he is 50 yrs old and like he is glued to the floor. We will NEVER get to where we want to be with Juwan playing in the rotation. His last 4 out of 5 games have been terrible but I guess thats ok to JVG cuz he played ok against GS ( a game that we didnt need him at all).

Seriously guys....is there something Im missing? Our worst player is shooting 33% from the field this yr (shooting way outside of his range consistantly) and is 6/26 (23%) in his last five games.

At least the Nuggets and the Lakers lost too, so we're not behind them by much. The Nuggets lost a Atlanta team that was without Zaza Pachuila, Josh Childress, and Speedy Claxton while the Nuggets had a 15 lead in the fourth quarter.

Kobe's ankle isn't looking so hot either....either way we're okay?

sorry if you've covered this before CP3.

But if you're refering to "we're" this indicates your a Rocket fan.

So why exactly does your moniker refer to a player in a division rival team?

Actually, I am quiet amused with JVG-lovers turn criticism of JVG's coaching as hate for JVG!

Turn anyone who actually sees limitations of JVG's coaching style into a JVG-hater! That way hopefully people will overlook the issue at hand!!

No amount of spinning or personal attack on other posters is going to turn JVG into a genius as some here claim him to be!!

I know Yao & TMac "only" played 29 & 32 minutes, but I still think they both played longer than they should the night before vs the Warriors. We were ahead by 20pt at the half, neither of them should be on the court more than 25 minutes.

Aldeman V JVG. what it comes down to is which School of thought will get you a championship. bottom line is, " Offense wins you games, DEFENSE wins you champonship.

i assume the opponent would use the same strategy to double or tip team Y Ming today onward, Jeff has to come out with a way to solve the problem. Why not try Bonzi ? Anyway, The Wolf is playing a better game than us, KG is excellent n Mike James is, too bad, hot again

Z...I never thought I would say this...but you have never been more right.

What was I thinking? Actually, I wasn't. I will just resolve to reading your critiques of our coach and hoping that I will pick up on how limited Coach is. I am sure that after a few more readings, I will come to my senses.

I will be so happy when the Rockets win one game with Coach leading the way.

Sigh..alas, I am sure Z will point out the whole "when pigs fly" theory any minute now.
