Cause luther is hot. This is RA offense, give it to the hot man. Our big 3 knows it, so we're feeding luther.

 

Ha I don't rate Luther at all but I gotta give him credit... good qtr.

what kind of fans immediately look to hate on their hometown players?? At least Luther consistently shows why he should be hated. Yao has one bad HALF and he's hated. Yao has been outplayed by jefferson, but we all know he has trouble with smaller center/forwards. That being said, he's been fouled a few times and didn't get the call, so having an off night + bad calls make him look like crap.

Also, Minny has had some issue lately and held a players-only meeting recently. You know what that means. They are ALL going to come out with a burst of energy. Every single one of them is looking to make something happen, that's what happens after a player meeting. That meansthey all see a bullseye on Yao, more than usual.

all of this combined is making Yao look this bad.

 

Because Luther is having one of his decent games, and got a layup.

better defense..only 19 points for them and we got 30!

No whistle tonight for Yao. We are still leading. It is a good sign.

 

Nice to see Head & Ron Ron get going in the first half.

Hopefully Scolandry can stay out of further foul trouble in the second half. 13 minutes with 5 fouls combined isn't what we want to see from them obviously.

 

Luther deserves a lot of credit, despite being benched and not played for a long time, he still shows up ready to play for the Spurs and stepped up.

Then he was benched again playing little minutes, but yet again when he is called again due to back-to-back, he shows up against the Wolves.

 

Same as every player. He proves you wrong in one game and proves you right in another game. Gosh.... I don't really know what I'm talking about.

 

The Rockets are lucky the TWolves suck, because if this was a good team, they would be down right now at the half.

Good 1st half by Luther Head..Every 10 games or so he has 1 good game, which translates to about 8 good games a year out of 82.

Horrible first half by Yao.

Not impressed with Battier so far this season. We'll see how long his injury is used as an excuse.

 

Huh...is anyone else somewhat suspicious that the ref team is a "veteran team"...dispatched to a Hou vs Minny game, where they have no business going (wth ref a game against Minny)...and Yao's getting mad hacked and he has zero FTA...?
