Don't read the message word by word, brother. This will help him grow in terms of better communicating with his teamates and coaches, which will eventually make himself more comfortable both on court and off court.

Yao is still new here! Life is very tough for a new comer. He'd better learn fast to adjust to the life here. Otherwise, he will always feel homesick and uneasy both on and off court.

Besides, don't you think having a little fun with girls is a good way to keep his life in balance, as preached by Taoism?

 

Humm..well it could raise his level of testosterone by hanging out with a girl, a hot girl, because he could get aroused...this would lead to more aggressive behavior....

 

That's a good point but from what I've read Yao's english is actually pretty good and with his teammates he generally speaks in English now.

I'm all for having fun with girls but I thought Yao already had a girlfriend. Unless you are saying he should become the next Wilt Chamberlain in more ways than just basketball skills.

 

I like the idea of yao getting a hot girlfriend it might make more aggressive.

 

I think the media is definitely overplaying Yao's English level. I studied lots of English in lots of years before I came to USA in 1998, only to find myself bewildered, stupid to an extent because I could not understand too much and could not talk in a normal way in English.

Even Yao is a genius, learning to speak good English so as to be understood will take him a couple of (3-5) years. Therefore, a native English speaking girlfriend is a must for him now if he wants to speed up his learing process. I am serious on this one.

Regarding girlfriends, I thing you got it! It definitely doesn't hurt you if you can have one more girl friends. The more, the better!

But seriously, Yao needs to take some time off his BBS and vedio games. Instead he should just go to the gym to toughen himself up. Once his body is built up, he will no problem running the floor and dunking the ball, and eventually dominating.
