Good win for us. If any team dare to play half court ball with us, we've got a chance. We will continue to have problems with faster teams.

Except for the Spurs in San Antonio, everytime we play there, we lose by 20. I don't see anything changing this time around either.

All is not in vain, lest you forget the famous 13 in 35.

that was in Houston. S.A. only lost 3 times at home last year.. they were almost .500 on the road.

I guess you could say we beat them on their home court.... if you count preseason. :D

There was no contact on foul #2, simply no contact. Foul #4 should've been an offensive foul on KG as he swang his offarm to get contact. Foul #3 should've been a no-call because defensive player is entitled to the space directly above him once he is set, whether it is in the circle or not.

If they are going to judge Yao strictly according to the book and pick on every tiny flaw, then Yao deserves to go to the FT line at least 20 times a game. Yao's defender push Yao from behind on EVERY single trip down the court. Why don't they blow the wistle there? This is clearly double standard! Double standard translate into racial discrimination in this case. I don't think it is right play the racial card all the time, but this is a legitimate case. Think about it, the blacks, however discriminated, have a voice and have got some attentions. What does other minority groups in this country have to fight against racial discrimination? Nothing!

A win is a win but 1-10 from beyond the arc shows we are still not hitting our outside shot, I am watching the Clippers game and the T-Wolves made a mistake trading Casell for Jaric, Casell is still making that pullup jumper and he is averaging 8apg with the Clippers. I wish we had him, he is exactly what we need.

    what a good game.

anderson finally started showing some signs of life on offense.

alston finally began taking his guy off the dribble to the basket for some layups.

and even though there was that stretch to end the 1st half where we had 3 or 4 straight turnovers, i feel like the rockets are taking care of the ball a lot better than last year.

the only thing i've seen that kind of worries me is that tmac seems almost hesitant to drive the ball. he relies on his jumpshot so much, even when he's not having a good shooting night. at least 5 or 6 of the shots he took today were well-contested by either hassell, garnett, or dupree, but he took them anyway. i mean, those are shots that he can get anytime, anywhere. i don't see why he doesn't elect to create something off the dribble to get a better look at the basket or a better shot for someone else.

oh, and yao needs to learn to either contest the shot, or get out of the way. if he just continues to stand there in no man's land doing nothing, he will continue to get those calls going against him.

but all in all, a good game. stro's looking good btw.

I thought Mr Grumpy got a technical after Yao picked up the first 2 fouls. By the way what gave you the impression that Yao has been getting more respect so far in the season.

did you even watch the game? yao protested one about as demonstratively as we'll ever see from him and on another van gundy got a freaking technical. i believe that's the definition of complaining to the officials.

if you're talking about the play near the end he didn't foul KG. it was the same play that he got three of his fouls on previously but they finally got it right and didn't blow the whistle.

matt bullard said it best: yao ming is 7'6" and has a natural advantage every time he's out there yet the referees penalize him for it. imo it looks like they're blatantly trying to level the playing field for his opposition and it's bullsh!t.

I just want to see what exactly Patrick Ewing is teaching Yao on defense. "Just stand here and put your arms up." I understand that he is tall enough where it would be effective, but he gets called for a foul 90% of time when he does that.

They need to have Yao start attcking the ball. He has a better chance of blocking it than the usual try to take a charge.

"I thought a lot of those fouls were very soft calls," Van Gundy said. "The fifth one he definitely should have avoided. The first four, I had no idea."

Only got to see the highlights on sportscenter, but is there anyone smoother than T-mac.

We can not afford to to play catch-up/ peek-a-boo-here's-our-talent basketball all the time. Consistent, start to finish. That would be the ideal for anyone but we especially need to make a statment.

Consistent guard play alone would help a lot.

I can. We're not ready. Hell, we're gonna have a really hard time against Detroit in two days. I like our direction, but we're not there yet. Need more time to gel. More time for guards to find their shots. More time to build winning momentum.

Rest T-mac next game @ SA (it wont matter anyway...)

Fly him back to Houston asap, let him rest. Fri home game is against DET, THE hottest team in the league right now.

Let's be honest, back to back games against the two best teams in the NBA, homerism aside, I don't see how we're gonna pull this one off. We're a broken team with our #1 guy injuried, #2 guy losing the little confident he had, and the rest of the team confused and lost. Maybe we should even rest Yao... :(

Rest our best players against the best teams. That should provide a spark and display leadership.

Tmac insists that his back is fine...I take his word over your delusions anyday.
