I know you're not suppose to blame players for defensive effort, but that was a really dumb foul by Yao. He should have picked a game where he's getting screwed a bit less to do that.

1 legit 1 questionable 2 BS and 1 dumb legit. Only conclusion is you're either not watching the game or don't know jack about basketball.

2) Leave Madsen wide open
3) Foul him as soon as he touches the ball
4) Cover all women and children sitting behind the basket

 

Yao is just not very smart about fouls, if you already have 4, you don't try to draw a charge at the last second. Everyone talks about how smart a basketball player he is, but he keeps doing the same thing over and over again, sure doesn't seem like he has learned anything.

 

Everyone is entitled to commit a couple of stupid fouls every game. 3 out Yao's 5 fouls so far are absolutely BS. You cannot blame Yao for those 3 fouls.

Let's do hack-a-maddog.

 

I love to see how many of yao's fouls were commited with howard on the floor. i think he fouls alot less with swift in there. with swift he knows there is another shot blcker in there to protect the basket. with howard, he think he thinks he is the sole interiore defender.

 

JVG stood up for Yao last year and paid $100,000 in the process. I was all for this last year. The rockets organization, last year, made their statement.

Now its up to Yao. He's been in the league for 4 years now. That's long enough to adapt to the culture of the NBA. If he's not going to get a technical for himself, then he deserves every BS call he gets. And don't give me that crap that its not in his personality. If its not in his personality to get livid and take a stand for himself, then we have serious problems.

 

Amazing we're in the game with every guard bricking practice-drill shots and T-Mac and Yao playing so poorly.

Seriously, this season is going to be made/lost by our guards' shooting, because defenses will collapse on both T-Mac and Yao all season long and challenge our shooting-handicapped guards to make a dang shot.

Heck, even as I say this Eggie made an ugly, flat-looking shot.

On a sidenote, is Mutombo possibly the slowest player in league history at this point of his career? Man does he take a few days to jump up, go back down, and up again.
