The expectations of Harden are much higher than Green, Rivers, and House. I disagree on blaming Tucker. He kept us in the game in the 4th with hustle play—rebounds, defense, an alley oop. Harden deserves more blame because he’s our leader. Not sure why Chris Paul was nonexistent.

 

Technically this was the last Rockets game of the season, so they aren't completely wrong....

 

Look. You can blame the loss on any number of our players. Personally, I remember Harden missing a free throw, and the last shot of the game. The entire 4th quarter was a cluster. Our offense comes unraveled when teams play solid defense against us.

 

Harden just kept on passing the ball off in teh 4th and letting EG brick. brick after brick after brick..

all those shots should have been Harden's when the Rockets were up 10

 

Any chance we lost on purpose to avoid Thunder first round?

 

if pringles was on the bench we win this game by 8-10pts

 

What’s not possible? if Portland wins tonight and tomorrow night Roxs are 4th seed

 

I think we get Utah in 5-6. There really isn't an easy out in the West.

I know everyone is going to point at the missed free throw by Harden, but really it was those possessions with 5 minutes left when he just sat at half court and passed to Gordon every play that lost the game.

A 10 point lead evaporated in no time because of that BS.

There's just no way the league will let the best team of all time lose in the 2nd round. Too much money lost for future rounds

 

This has been James Harden's best and worst season of his career. Best for his historic season. Worst for all the chokejobs he has done. Excluding that 1 win against GSW with everybody else out he has been choking every time there is a decisive game:

Last game vs GSW (with full cast) - choke
Last game vs Bucks with MVP on the line - choke
Now must win game against OKC - choke

But still I believe this is better for the Rox, the 2nd round is the best time to try and upset GSW you are already warmed up after the 1st round but you are not yet exhausted. Lets just meet OKC in the WCF hopefully Harden has his **** together by then.

 

4 might be a good option now if this god damn OKC team gets 6. Let Denver clean up this mess. We get Utah. And Clint will have 1,000,000 reasons to play his a$$ off to oust the Warriors.

I just hate the way we lose tonight. The Rockets just lack the mental facility to prevent this kind of scenario to happen in a consistent way.

Don't really care about playing warriors in second round. Not likely we avoid them anyways, but best case wouldve been knocking OKC to 8th so they have to face off.

This kind of game happens when the 3 point shot is the majority of the teams game. Just got to hope they do as well as they usually play during the playoffs. So far our guys outside of Harden have not shown they can step up under pressure to close out games so its possible at least a few guys start choking.. we will see...

 

Folks always gotta make someone the scapegoat...
most everybody had an opportunity to change the outcome - and didnt... its a team loss, folks...
hopefully we learn from it and are tougher in the playoffs.

 

I lost all faith in this team with this lose. I hate to say it I just don’t have it. Hopefully they will battle back.
