ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Thunder 4/24/2013 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 2)

the rockets need to watch what gsw did to denver n copy that for tomorrow. sadly, we dont have insane shooters like curry or thompson but we have enough. spread the floor and when they come with the double on the ball handler as in harden or lin, pass the ball into the paint n quick shots. no dribbling till the shot clocks goes out. I wouldnt mind westbrook going off for his points than durant. thats our only shot of winning.

 

The only way we can beat them is if we can somehow repeat that February performance. Harden will need to go off for 40+ shooting efficiently and Lin will need to hit all his shots. But Harden just hasn't been the same these past couple months and OKC's defense is really focused on stopping Lin and blocking his strengths. Not to mention that crowd is crazy and the thunder greatly feeds off that energy. I just dont see it happening. Hopefully Im wrong though

Oh God, I had a dream that we lost by 30 and Westbrook had a trip-dub.

Not a good omen.

 

Time to regroup and come up with a new gameplan. Harden iso play to victory.

 

Ban me for a week if the Rox don't win this, or rep me like crazy if we do.

 

I expect us to be competitive this game, not necessarily win but at least we shouldn't lost by 15 or 20 points. Maybe a close game that gets away with 3 or 4 minutes left in the 4th, but it will give us confidence to take a game or two at home.

 

Won in February because DMo was in the lineup and stretched out Ibaka (I believe no Perkins in that game too). This opened up the land for Harden and Lin. This has to be the formula again for Rox to win a game this series.

 

we might lose , but i expect a hell of a fight now.

I'd be happy if Jeremy Lin and Greg Smith looked like they belonged on the same court as the Thunder.

Start Asik/Tjones/Parsons/Harden/Beverly with Lin playing a more effective 6th man role. If he gets his feelings hurt someone should remind him he has 8 million reasons to suck it up.

 

I see a win tonight! I know we'll only win 2 games this series but this one puts us on the map.
