There were more than 18 players on the floor tonight. Many of them hadn't been in a playoff game before. Lin, statistically, played the worst out of all of them. Every single one.

My expectations for Lin this season weren't particularly high, but I expected a hell of a lot more than this.

We suck. Get rid of McHale, make some trades in the offseason. In today's league you need multiple superstars to compete for the championship. Until we get multiple superstars we aren't getting out of the west, plain and simple.

I think its safe to say we had the 420 hangover.... Lin must've been still high from yesteday, Asik must've spilled some bong water on his hands, and Parsons just kept getting skipped in the rotation. On to the next one.

We did have that nice run when Rockets went tiny ball.

    Next game start,

    Brooks
    Bevs
    Lin
    Harden
    Delfino

    Do it Coach McHale!

shots werent falling from the outside

this lead to OKC clogging the paint preventing us from driving to the basket like usual. this especially shut down harden and lin. nobody wanted to drive in on i-blocka tonight, and i dont blame them.

its demoralizing having an off shooting night, against OKC of all teams and for some of the players this is their first playoffs game. had our shots been falling it would have been a different game.

we still rely on the 3 too much and getting calls from the refs, need to develop more mid range game. and we need an offensive post presence.

I understand but man the defensive and offensive melt downs were there before the playoffs; I have no idea why I thought it would get better when they finally got here.

Rockets were tied and they went absolutely nuts. classic rockets.

There will always be a scapegoat for losing. Mchale, lin, harden today; beverly, parson, asik tomorrow, etc. Why does it matter HOW we lose?

If we win, even if lin goes 0-50, we won't complain. no? Do people care HOW we win?

Well without Lin on the floor, WB basically had a field day on Beverley.

    To sum tonight's game up:

    Heroball doesn't work.

I'm surprised at Lin following suit...Though he was out of position and playing SG all night. Not sure why he kept deferring to PB when Harden sat. He should have taken charge. But in 1st half...Wtf was that all about, why did he go iso so much?

If Lin doesn't play well, Rox will lose. He was playing out of position and out of character, but no excuses he did poorly.

Whole team suffers as a result. I mean look:

    - OKC had 2x the assists
    - 8/34+ treys...Lol yeah
    - And out rebounded

Ball was sticky all night. No movement. People looked confused. No one was cutting. And no adjustments were made. Bad bad game all around. Harden pressed too much too early, Parsons fouled too much too early. Lin was playing heroball. When 3 of 5 starters were out of sync, you are going to lose.

Yes you can blame turnovers and lack of shots falling but the core of the problem is a good one to have. It is because we are young and inexperienced. We are not confident right now.
