aren't these young guys talented.

 

Man their bench big is better than all or bigs defensively.

 

individually they may get burned, but they don't miss defensive rotations and know where they are suppose to be. edit: moreso for battier, but Hill blocked shots and protected the paint adequately at times and very good at times

defensive team cohesiveness is just as important as one on one D

 

Some Rockets fans have a habit overrating Rockets players after a couple games. AB/Scola for Bosh isn't worth it in their eyes.

Seriously? So the team that beat the thunder three times this season is just magically down by more than 20, and they scored more than 100 in three quarters?

What is wrong with you people?

We are missing BATTIER, Hill, Jefferies. In that order of importance.

If you expected us to win, you know nothing about our team and how we play.

I never said Juwan was as good as him but you can not argue that he not in the same role Howard was in that year. Did you watch the Rockets that year? It was brutal seeing Juwan, Rafer and Keith Bogans leading the charge.
And yeah his role is to score, just like Lowry's is to distribute and Yao's is to score, command double teams and clog the paint. See how Yao's roles vary? That's what seperates him from a mere role player (Martin) and a star (Yao).

And you don't always need a main scorer to flourish, look at Stoudamire and Nash. Hell look at Lowry and the Rockets second unit (when healthy) They flourish despite the fact that Lowry is not a "main scorer".

 

We won't win even with full strength. Thunder is a much better team now than earlier in the season, Rockets is worse,especially defensively.

scola always struggles against players who can step out and knock down the 3 ball.

It's really interesting how the Rockets are a whole new team that has totally different playstyles without Yao.

 

Not really. Rockets full strength including Kevin Martin with a healty shoulder is a lot a lot difference.

Thunder is not a much better team.

Thunders is a better team now. they went 7-8 in November and Rockets beat them twice in that month.

Rockets played a lot better defensively in November than in March, and they were a better team early on.
