This is a really huge deal to Rockets fans. I guess when you have not won anything in 30 years, an in-season tournament appearance is parade worthy in Houston.

 

Including coaches, Rockets have a 20-man roster.

 

If this was the Harden Rockets team, 90% hungover from drakes party and on some other drugs.

these guys go to the hotel and play madden / 2k. Online shop and sleep.

I really wanted to fly out this morning to go watch the game but I’ve never seen flights to Vegas this expensive

 

Starters gotta come out ready to play. I want to see us taking better care of the ball, being more decisive on offense, and of course the same defensive intensity. I expect a physical, chippy game based on last game with OKC. Looking forward to see us take another step forward as a team.

 

@Jontro what time is your private plane taking off to Vegas? I hear you’re taking the Men’s Club roster.

 

OKC is playing Jalen Williams (6'6) at the power forward spot; the other Jaylin Williams is out. Of course, Chet is out as well. This makes OKC quite small (though Dort is a truck at the small forward position). I'm kind of curious about the matchups:

• Cason Wallace ---> FVV
• SGA--> JG and Amen
• Dort. --> Brooks
• Williams --> Jabari and Eason
• Hartenstein --> Sengun

Their backup center is Kenrich Williams (6'6 210).

IF SGA doesn't explode for points and the Rockets can have an average game defending the 3, on the glass, and keep their turnovers to an average margin, this is quite winable.

Sengun, if healthy, should live at the FT line and pile up assists. Can anyone make an uncontested jumper today?

 

Thinking we should trade for Jalen Smith just to match up in names with OKC followed by Jalen Wilson.

 

Same. Looked into it as soon as we made the semis and the prices were outrageous.

 

Hartenstein is gonna give Jabari and Sengun some damn problems.

It will be an exciting game for sure. I would love for us to take it, as it would give even more wind to our sails, but it's going to be tough. Yes, We beat them the last time, but it took a fluke FVV eruption to do it.

I'm hoping Jabari has a big game tonight. They will focus on Alpi and Jalen, and if Jabari can keep the arc in his shot, he can do some damage.

Let's go to the cup finals!

haha. Somewhere on Washington, I went up to show him a message. Sign with Houston. Him and his girl laughed. He put a prayer sign up.

30 min before bar closes, taps me on the shoulder and hands his full bottle over haha.

 

Let's hope Ime has a quick trigger tonight and gets Amen in the game to guard SGA for most of the game. Jabari played incredible defense last game, so hopefully he is agressive and all over his matchup. No reason we can't win this game, if FVV and Jalen play decent.

Just a heads up for any of you rednecks who might be on the barbed wire fence about going, it's also the last weekend of NFR. Perfect weather too. Great time to be in Vegas!
