Silas deserves some of the slander. I'm happy that he has been making better decisions lately, but regardless some of the in game calls are questionable. Even though we won tonight, Theis over Sengun is questionable, even with Theis shutting us up in the 4th quarter after playing awful in the first half. I get Sengun is foul prone, but he has 6 fouls to use, let him use him up.

Putting KJ at the 5 was a good move, but it should of been Sengun playing to close the half.

Danuel House keeps playing despite being awful.

At some point Rockets offense was looking bad, but then Sengun came in the second half and he got Christopher going and Brooks going. He found them in some sweet cuts. Sengun should also always play with KJ, they just have good chemistry together.

Silas did make some good calls tonight and at least he has gone away from the Theis/Wood line up. Personally, I'd love to see him play Sengun/Wood more to see if it will be a line up worth a damn.

Those ankles are made of glass. Impeccable timing from Wood. Last year he also got hurt during the winning streak. After that we went on a historic 20 game losing streak. I'm wondering if we will top that. I guess at least the schedule is easy still the next couple of games, so maybe we won't repeat that.

Maybe bench EG and have Mathews start with Jalen. Or have Jalen come off the bench so he can adjust from coming back from an injury

 

These Rockets may not play smart all the time but dang they play HARD.

I've given Silas a lot of heat for his coaching decisions, especially his rotations, but he does deserve kudos for having these guys playing like mad dogs no matter the score.

I was talking about choosing Theis over Sengun to finish the game, which turned out to be the right decision.

 

This is not a slight against Mobley, but he benefits so much playing with 2 good passers in Rubio, Garland and playing next to Allen. Allen is the main focus for the defense, not Mobley. Mobley went 0-11 in the game Allen sat out.

 

They do not like cookies... or cake.

I’m nowhere close to calling him a bust at this point and he shows some serious flashes of upside, but yeah, in terms of contributing to helping win basketball games he has been one of the worst players in the entire league this year playing any real minutes up to this point.

Mobley being so, so freaking good just makes this more pronounced.

I am looking forward to how he blends back in with finding this formula that’s clicking. I really would like to see him come off the bench playing 15 minutes or so against second units until he can start showing more consistency in that role and then start upping his workload.

 

I actually dont believe this.

Mobley doesnt need the ball to impact the game so Silas running plays for him is unnecessary.

As long as he was playing same amount of minutes as Green.

Rockets switch defense, rim protection, rebounding, assists, transition efficiency, finishing at rim and TOV% would be MUCH improved.

That said, Green can still be impactful if used correctly.

 

Honestly, I have no clue why he does not play Sengun, I really think he just do not like Sengun? This is just crazy.

 

I spelled jtates name wrong but totally called the 30 pt and the lack of Seguin minutes.

 

Yes, last year Wood and Kelly played together and it worked well. Sengun can be in the Kelly mode and can play great with Wood it is just Silas do not like Sengun.
