I wonder if they'll take Wall, Gordon, Nwaba, House and Theis for SGA.

All seriousness aside, if you can't build around a talent like his maybe you shouldn't be GM. That guy can flat out hoop. If they're thinking about trading him the Thunder don't deserve to be a franchise.

This team was not 1-16 bad. Silas deserved to be on the hot seat for the way he was handling the rotation. Some simple tweaks to the rotation have put players in better positions to succeed.

as horrible as the Rockets were, we were somehow almost average defensively which still really impresses me

now no more Tate, Wood, and Theis lineups at least gives the offense a chance of not being automatic gutter trash

lol and they don't even give him credit for what he was doing when he got injured. He was just starting to get some consistency in his past 3-4 games and play well

    Random things:
    • OKC don't play Giddy in their closing lineups. They probably don't think he's ready.
    • SGA balled out.
    • The fouls very much was in OKC's favor until the final minutes. At the end they looked even, but that's only because OKC fouled us to get time out the clock.

Winning covers up a lot of things.
    • KPJ/Wood injured early, team still rallied to win.
    • Armoni's offense overshadowed his defense and foul trouble.
    • Silas' challenge was questionable; didn't think we had a case.
    • Basketball gods smiled upon Tate's offense tonight.
    • The Sengun / JC lineup and later zone defense sparked the comeback.
Rocket's closing lineup was still a one big man.
    Gordon
    Garrison
    Brooks
    Tate
    Theis

True but what do they need with a vacuum when their houses have dirt floors? I would expect their infomercials to be for things like feeding troughs and slop buckets.

Nah, man. That type of old furniture that when you jump on a cushion a cloud of that famous Oklahoma dust enshrouds you.

What's really impressive about the last two games is that they're wins when we're not at our best. Granted, it's the Thunder. But we're not going to have it every night, and on those nights good teams still manage to pull out wins across a season. During our losing streak, we lost to plenty of teams that didn't have their A game, and we lost games where it felt like we were getting close to playing ours (the second Lakers game comes to mind).

Here, we've won two, the first decisively, when we really didn't have a flow to our offense for long periods at a time, were a bit disjointed, but made up for it through team defense, turning it up at the right time, and knocking down shots that mattered. That's what good teams can do. And doing it with young players makes it all the more impressive.
