Don't look like much has changed since last year.

the young core being this reliant on FVV, someone who’s not a star or top 20 player, to look competent is kinda sad

Jalen and Sengun are in year 4, Jabari in year 3

we look like we’d be competing for a top 8 or 9 pick without Frederick

The Rockets need to shake things up by trading some of these young players.

Jabari should earn his starting status and certainly his minutes.

Very frustrating to see no year over year improvement from some of these young players. Same mistakes from previous seasons

This halftime reminds me of the pace of a Jeff van gundy offense

Drumline battle halftime shows are actually lit. Like zero percent sarcasm if it's not the Amazing Tony I want drumline battles.

Trying to instantly gratify Harden cost us actual talent.

I really hate to agree with the Jabari haters, but right now he doesn't do anything well except be slightly taller than most people around him. He's sort of average to below average at everything. I would say it's pre season but it looks a lot like last season. Say what you want about Jalen's massive ups and downs, but at least he has ups.

Utter lack of shooting other than crazy look off the dribble 3s by Green and the occasional Dillon make is why the half Court offense looks bad

The Thunder are - as they should - packing the lane, maybe even playing zone, and begging the Rockets to shoot 3s. The Rockets are obliging by not doing it.

On a positive note, Sengun's free throws looks much improved. That's always been a positive about a player getting a lower body injury - they get to work on their free throws

    Thank you Calvin,

    "a little too much dribbling"
    Translation: Jalen pass the ball!!

"you gotta get your shooters shots"
    Translation: Pass Reed the ball!!!

As soon as he came back in we lost organization and it went off the rails. His turnovers and lack of defense and shooting or any type of dribble move is vibe killing. I'M NOT SURE WHAT HE IS GOOD FOR OTHER THAN HE'S TALL. Its year 3 its time to talk about Jabari. He is not a starter in the NBA. Atleast tari will give you elite defense. Bari does NOTHING WELL.

Amen is 2 for 9 and the same -15 as Bari.Sengun -18 & Jalen -19. This hasn't been pretty no matter how you want to spin it. Tari 1 of 2 and -10 with 3 fouls.

I know I am in the minority here.... but I would revisit DJ Wilson at F/C. IIRC he does the things we expect Bari to do: 3's & blocked shots.

Jalen and Jabari are pretty much the same. Both Tari and Amen seem ready to take over Jabari's starting spot. Reed is not far away from taking over Green's starting spot. I don't think we should give up whoever for a preseason game, but the bench units are performing better than some of the starters, which is a good problem to have.

I played the drums growing up so I’ll always be biased towards a drumming halftime show, but there needs to be way more energy than that
