We lost but at least we didn't overreact

 

The positives: We look like a top 2 team in the West. And when we trade for a PG, watch out..

 

Ime Udoka believes in Physical Defending Only Players can slow offensive players down, later in the Series. Keep trying it won't work. Corrupt Referees Bail them out constantly. Shai Gilgeous and Stephen Curry can't be touched.

I haven't seen it work ever. It didn't work on Stephen Curry. Twice 1 with Boston vs Warriors in the Finals. Rockets 1st Round Exit against Stephen Curry.

Need a Veteran Sharpshooting PG with Passing ability.

Need to add more shooters at SG, SF to replace Tari Eason, JaeSean Tate, Josh Okogie.

 

Steven Adams never deserves to play Heavy Minutes. Steven was breathing heavily in this game and way too many minutes as a 32 year old coming off knee surgery. Ime Udoka is hard headed.

Reed Sheppard and Clint Capela are more in shape.

 

Sure, it feels like nitpicking but details win or lose you these close games.

Just as you cannot 100% contain a dude who goes by Gilgeous......even if you have the most wing defenders in the league.

 

Chet had an even more monster game relative to his nos. This is the first real game of the Rox the core OKC had 82 games+playoffs together already. Fact that it took 2 OTs and just a 1 pt loss means this Rox team is legit. Once they develop chemistry watch out.

In fact we would have won in regular time if Tari didnt play like a scrub or Okogie didnt give that 4 pt play to SGA.

Every game we had vs OKC last season we didnt have 21 TOs but guess what we lost by double digits except for 1 game. This game we had 21 TOs but clearly OKC struggled to put them away and escaped by the skin of their teeth. TOs are overrated I care about the final score.

I'm looking forward to see how DFS will affect the OKC matchup later in the season. I've read he's similar to Dillon Brooks in that he's able to defend larger frontcourt players like Holmgren. Of course, the Rockets would also have to deal with J. Williams then, too.

I only know that Luka went to the Finals with PJ Washington, Lively II, Gafford and DFS was already shipped to Brooklyn.

 

Good to see Melo got as dressed up as I did for this game.

 

Reed looked useless during this game. The shot looks good but doesn't go in often enough in actual NBA games. The defense is weak. He made a few nice passes but picked up his dribble in some bad stops and didn't handle pressure particularly well.

I have seen the weak link in this rotation and it is Reed Sheppard.

Tari had a bad game but I've seen that guy play winning basketball for 3 seasons. This one game means nothing regarding Tari.

 

Care to make a bet? I'll bet $100 to the tip jar on a 45 win over/under line for the Rockets. Sounds like a great bet for you if you think the Rockets only win 42 games. I'm guessing you won't take the bet, though, because you're just a cowardly big mouth.

 

God, this loss made me feel sick to my stomach. Can't sleep, stomach feels terrible.

I've been missing basketball all summer long but after watching this type of game and losing, I suddenly remember why I hate it at the same time.

 

I'll add 50 to that 100 if he takes the bet
