If they want to win they cannot play sheppard. Do you wait and develop a guy or win now. Likely they want to see how he plays but clearly he isn’t ready for the biggest stage. 100/% they win tonight with Holliday

It is when he keeps getting blown off of his spot in drives.

I think if Reed wants to be successful long-term, he absolutely does need to learn how to be a point guard just because of his size limitations. I totally agree with you in that he’s not a natural one right now at all

No way. Minutes are earned. If Sheppard wants to start, he needs to stop being a traffic cone on defense and make open shots. He was drafted to be a sharpshooter above all else.

That’s about 5-6 more than I’d care for him to take

If we’re gonna focus on the negatives:
    - guards need to learn the passing angles to kd and Sengun
    - ime can’t draw a play to win the game
    - tari made a huge mistake that will cost hi self and the rockets

other than these there were so many positives. We are gonna win so many games just by wearing out opponents. Fvv ball wouldn’t win us anything anyways. We have 81 more training games. It matters to be the best team to go into the playoffs.

Call me crazy but I ****ing hate that team. I hate them more than Dallas, San Antonio, Golden State, Utah. Chiefs of the NBA. Gotta beat them and the refs and don’t breathe on Patty or SFT or get within 100 yards. And pretty easy to have a “great defense” when you can hack, hold, flop with impunity. **** them. And **** NBC. Need a [IMG] label for all the Thunder dick sucking on national television. /rant

I didn’t watch much Summer League so my impression this whole time was that he was just below average on defense…I didn’t know he was Trae Young level…I was shocked

You’re right, it’s about being weak. Fred is a similar size but you don’t see that frequently happening to him.

I don’t blame Reed honestly. He’s in way over his head and that’s in the coaching staff.

Reed Sheppard isn’t a natural point guard. He was an elite shooter in college that has some play making ability. He’s likely thinking too much instead of just playing because running an offense is not natural to him.

OKC on the road vs. that defense is going to be rough for any PG especially a young one.

Ugly game for Reed but if he looks like this vs worse competition then it's really gonna get spooky.

Check the draft threads, I watched full Kentucky games and saw it in college and called it out back then when folks just watched highlights. He has a lot of offensive potential to be objective.

Hope he strengthens it as he's very young.

Sengun's stats as a passer 7 assists and 2 turnovers. The other 2 where offensive fouls on drives.
He only had 1 true post up opportunity in the low block. Need mas so Durant get some open threes.

21 turnovers overall and 23 assists. Not good.
